NOLA baby here. iYKYK. I am living landlocked right now and my family wanted oyster dressing for Holiday dinner. I was unable to source shucked oysters—- fresh frozen—- what to do? I found these made by Bumble Bee. I know this brand from makin grocery with my Mimi. So, I gave them a leap of faith and I’m SO GLAD I did. These were not too salty. These were not rubbery out of the can. And they were plentiful for the price. They were free of shell bits. And they were not overly strong in smell or flavor. I should note that I did not actually “cook” these oysters. The rice base was prepared and the chopped Bumble Bee oysters were added at the end while the rice was still smokin steaming hot. Such a hit at the Holiday table. Thank you, Bumble Bee, for your continued dedication to quality pantry goods and staples. I have already added this product to my saved grocery items folder. Bumble Bee Premium Select Whole Canned Oysters taste really good, not rubbery, plus they are good for you. They are low-calorie and high in micronutrient, good for your stomach. I love eating these on a day I’m watching my calories and trying to drop pounds. These always tastes so good. Smell isn’t that bad, I like to put little sea salt and pepper on them and heat in microwave. These oysters taste good topped on a salad or a macaroni salad too. I enjoy just heating them up eating as a snack too. The heat up great, don’t get rubbery either. Ive used in a soup and they stay great tasting and hold together, don’t break up.

Delicious, added to chowder

I have only eaten Crown Prince™ Smoked Oysters, and I eat them regularly_ I tried these just to see how they compared_ The Bumble Bee™ is about the same_ both are firm, and have a good smokey flavor_ I would have enjoyed these more, probably, if I chose the regular smoked oysters in olive oil_ I thought these were going to be like the regular but with a red pepper in them, like the Crown Prince™, but these are not like that_ These come in a red hot sauce that wasn't anything great_ I much prefer Smoked Oysters in olive oil with fresh red pepper, so I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars_ The hot sauce this comes in is very mild, like tomato sauce, and flavorless, so the smoke flavor is very present

I eat these here and there as a snack, and as an alternate protein, sometimes mixed into a bowl of tinned seafood. It has a deep earthy taste, with a nice smoky flavor to it. The oysters are not fishy smelling, they have good color for smoked oysters, and are firm and sturdy, but remain mashable with my fork. These give me a nice protein boost for days where i am kind of needing to up it a little. I like them enough to buy a 12 pack, and not just a tin or two here and there.

Not spicy but the red sauce covers up the smoke flavor but TBE clams have a nice texture so They are just ok

If you’re a fan of smoked Oysters these are yummy. Great snack!

Good product. Edible from the can. Better if using can's liquid, and adding half cup of almond milk or something similar, heating it up in microwave, then adding oysters, pepper, cayenne and salt substitute, and one more minute in the microwave.
