Over all not bad, it is a chess board with all the pieces so I can’t complain too much. However both of the latches were rusted and difficult to open even though it was purchase brand new. Over all, meh

Decades after a smaller travel chess set probably ended up deep in a landfill, I decided to try again. This Palm Royal chess set is of high quality. The rosewood board is as smooth as glass, and beautifully finished. The chess pieces are well-made. The magnets on the bases of the pieces are not very strong and the pieces slide off if the board is tilted at much of an angle, but this will not affect normal play. I don't know why anyone would play chess with a board tilted at an angle anyway.

I am a huge fan of travel style games. This was one of the best ones in chess category. It’s terrific.

Well impressed, for the price this is a very good chess set. Small enough to travel with and large enough to play with. The pieces are well crafted and look good. I highly recommend this chess set.
