Dove Summer Revived Medium to Dark Gradual Tanning Lotion For a Sun-Kissed Glow Self Tan Body Lotion Tanning Lotion For All Skin Types, 200 ml (Pack of 1)

I have pale and sensitive skin. I bought the" medium to dark " tube, as that is what I normally buy from Garnier. I don't look to get a dark tan, and with the Garnier one it takes a while to develop. I usually do the following; Squeeze a big dollop if regular moisturiser and then squeeze a similar size dollop of tanning cream, so half & half. I have been doing this for many years as the earlier products could lead to streaking, and this method makes it even, no streaks, but takes a few days to get the light to medium tan I am looking for. Results/ coverage: So...I did the same with this Dove " medium to dark" tanning cream, half & half with regular moisturiser, and wow! The very next day delivery had what I would call my maximum level of tan, nice and even but full blast, even though I had diluted it with regular moisturiser. I would imagine if you did it again the next day I would be very dark brown, which I didn't do as for my complexion that would be daft. Colour: It is a nice brown tan, not orange or yellow, and works very fast . I have had 2 showers since, and only added regular untanning normal moisturiser and it hasn't faded yet. If I used it neat or did again the next day I think it would go from golden tan to rich dark tan which would really suit a lot of people, just not me. If you have a fair complexion like me, that s is a really good colour, without yellow or orange, but a very fast and even result. I would recommend doing half & half and if you decide you want to go darker simply do it again the next day. Just make sure you scrub your skin that is to be tanned before applying, I just use a facial scrub gel all over, rinse dry and then after the shower I apply my half & half. No streaks, no patches, no dark bits on the knees or elbows. I go a little lighter on my face as that sees the sun anyway, so do 1 part tanning can e to 2 parts of my normal face cream. For the rest of me I use 1 part tanning cream and 1 part Normal body moisturiser. Sensitive skin: Also, I have had no issues with irritation, that I get from some products. Greasy/ oily residue: No. It isn't oily, which some tanning lotions are, some leave you with an oily or sticky film the next day, this didn't. Scent: with my method of half and half there is very little scent, but what is there is a nice nutty hint not that chemical almost tobacco scent some have. Overall I am really pleased. As I seem to only need one coat of half & half this tube will last a long time.

I went for the Dove Derma Spa Self Tan after reading many reviews of other similar products. I'm the kind of person that researches the life out of everything before I buy. Getting a natural-looking tan was the overriding thing for me rather than price, but this lotion ticks both boxes and is great value. I would agree that when applying, it does smell quite pleasant. I did notice however that when it is fully dried, and certainly by the next morning, the usual 'biscuit' smell that you get with these products was there. No big deal though as it fades after a shower. You don't need to use a tanning mitt, but I would strongly recommend one. Even with great care using the mitt, I still got small staining of some fingertips and knuckles. I picked one up off Amazon for less than £3. The tan is a great shade and was darker than I expected on first application. You put it on and it is virtually invisible to begin with, but I was surprised at how quickly the tan developed in the hours afterwards. I did make one mistake (which I have now learnt from!). I am male, with facial hair, and applied some of this to the face as well. The shade looks lovely and even on the skin, except for the stubble area which was patchy, and stained some of the hair. This basically made it look a bit ginger in places and very hard to scrub off! Still, that's not the fault of the product, more me getting carried away applying the lotion everywhere! Just something to be aware of. Give it a go! You will be pleased with the results.

I am really happy with this product 😊 not used self tanners for a long time...so I thought I'd order this ..I was pleased at how well it blended cos it's not too thick!..it soaked into the skin quickly...I did my whole body in minutes...I only waited a couple more then got dressed...so waited till next morning for the results..I was impressed,not being a expert they were no patches or streaks..I applied it again for 4 days without taking a shower to get the colour u wanted PS( I was having plumbing work so couldn't shower lol. ) I gave it four stars because as soon as I was able take a shower most of it rubbed off..not sure if this is meant to happen 🤔 so if you shower everyday like I do the product won't last very long..that's my only criticism...but the price is good so not too bad I suppose..just a bit of a pain lol

I have been using self-tan in one form or another since I was 14 and I’m now 33. This is hands down my best go-to tanning product for a number of reasons. ▪️The scent is nice and mild. It has no ‘biscuity’ smell to it. ▪️It doesn’t stain the bed sheets. ▪️It moisturises at the same time so is an effective 2 in 1 product. ▪️The price point is good. ▪️Easy to apply and as long as you can see that you have covered all your skin in the moisturiser, it is completely streak free. ▪️It has a lovely natural golden colour which you can build on if you so wish. ▪️It dries nice and quickly so when it’s cold, you don’t have to stand around for long before you can get dressed. ▪️It fades away nice and evenly so there is no tiger bread skin 😂 Last but by no means least, it actually makes my legs change colour!! Most regular self tanners know that often, your legs don’t go as dark as the rest of your body but with this tan, my legs look the same colour as the rest of me 🥳! I have very fair skin and I use the medium to dark which is still very natural on me. When I go abroad, I will not be without this. I don’t tan naturally and in all honesty, I am not into lying in the sun, but after two weeks in the sun, it’s a little embarrassing to still be as white as when I stepped off the plane. So every other evening, I gently exfoliate before applying another coat which dries even more quickly with the heat and within minutes, I’m ready to get dressed and do my face and hair for a nice evening out and all the while, my tan is developing nicely ready for the next day!

I have been using this product for years now, decided to finally write a review. I avoid the sun altogether so my olive skin looks really pale, my olive skin can become incredibly paler when sun exposure is limited making me look ill🤒 I do tan really easy but the sun tends to give me headaches and trigger my seizures so it is best to avoid the sun as much as possible. I decided to take action in finding a solution & started experimenting with self tanners. Most looked fake and smelled bad tbh. Then I tried this product, DOVE Derma Spa summer revive👏🏼👏🏼 I really like this self tanning lotion, it feels like i'm not tanning at all but simply moisturising(hydrating) my skin also the tan itself when developed looks very believeable, exactly like my natural tan(perfect match👍🏼). You can build it up but I think less is so much more believeable, I only want to achieve a golden glow. It makes me feel and look healthier(confidence boost right there) and at the same time avoiding the sun is helping me stay healthier, prevent my skin from early signs of aging & skin damage. I have recently turned 35, so I do need to up my skin game. I suggest using this with a high SPF daily to protect your skin even further and wearing this means no need to sunbathe. This product is value for money, I really can afford to wear this daily. Excellent product👍🏼👍🏼

Like Many People I Spend A Lot of Time Indoors, I hate looking like casper the friendly ghost, so after seeing the advert I thought I'd give it a go. Despite being a well known brand I wasn't expecting much to be honest. Put it on all over no difference, just thought oh well only cost £3.50. Woke up the next day and I couldn't believe the difference. Second application and back to work. People asked me if I had been on holiday, I got told that I looked younger. People desperate to know what I had done as it was such a big change. As a typical dinosaur who literally just showers and shaves I made the mistake of rubbing it into my scalp as I wear my hair short, it actually got rid of my grey hairs! Quicker, cheaper, more convenient and safer than a sunbed. Probably took less than 5 minutes. Bottle probably lasts about 2 weeks once you get the colour you want, probably only need to use it every 3 days. Only negative is that I'd like it to be darker, however it looks natural and is easy to maintain.

The colour is lovely and even and lasts well for days, but the smell is just awful! When it’s developing it smells so strong and even after thoroughly showering it off I could still smell it the next day when I was moving around.

This is a great and healthier alternative for a tanning bed. It's an easy way to have a ''sun-kissed-look'' for someone who is bald like me and living in western Europe with harse winters. You don't need to apply tons of it and I would suggest you apply with a few fingers and rub it lightly in with those few fingers just to prevent to get tanned hands :)

Tönt super. Hinterlässt keine Flecken. Riecht gut. Nur Vorsicht, auch die Haare nehmen Farbe an. Hatte dadurch ein paar „Strähnen“ am Kopf 🤣

I love that it is gradually tanning my skin with lovely and soft scent. It is quite expensive though.
