An affordable, effective furry windscreen which fits well on Zoom H1
I use this with a Zoom H1, it works really well. I usually just keep it on my Zoom H1 now as the Zoom and furry windscreen together fits easily in my pocket or a bag for carrying it around. If there are gusts of wind then these still get through, but most of the time when I've been using this so far it has made a very noticeable difference to the wind sound, without making any noticeable difference (to me as someone who isn't a specialist in audio) to the audio recording. Speech etc all still sounds the same, nothing seems to end up sounding muffled.

Really good, fits perfectly on Zoom H1
Fits perfectly on my Zoom H1. It wouldn't if I put it over the foam one though which I was hoping to do but having tested it out it's so much better and cuts out wind noise really well.Someone said it wasn't much better than the standard cheap foam windshield that comes with the Zoom accessories, but in my experience it's 100 times better? The foam barely reduces wind noise at all for me.

Moderately effective, and just about fits a Samson Meteor
I bought this small sized fluffkin hoping it might just fit my Samson Meteor, which is *particularly* susceptible to wind noise. And although the elastic at the bottom is a very tight fit, the fluff itself is exactly the right size.It seems moderately effective at killing wind bluster - I have better dead kittens I've bought for larger mics - but it's not bad, and for the price it's hard to grumble. If you want complete isolation and you're using a Meteor or a Zoom HN1 I recommend fitting a foam guard first, and buying the next size kitten up, the one for the HN4, and plopping that over the top of the foam guard. The (very slight) loss of top end can easily be found at the desk later, and it kills the wind dead. But for light use, and total portability factor this little one will do for most days.

Have no experience with furry wind covers but wow, really makes a difference
I never really had proper dead cat before, and was previously using a foam cut out. This made so much of a difference. It was a bit hard to get on my ZoomH1n (had to hold the recorder in my mouth while using both hands to get it on) but it's a good fit (it will probably stay on if you shake it).Overall I don't have any issues except that paper packaging might be more sustainable if it wasn't plastic or if it was a resealable bag may have been useful to store it or work as a dust cover when not in use.Update: I get allergies from animal fur, so this does occasionally blow a few loose hairs around, but nothing I can attribute my allergies to. In a pinch it worked on the Tascam TM80 (fit really well)

Good quality but loose fitting
good quality but doesn't fit snuggly, perhaps a stretchable material would do the job.

Does the job
Fits on my zoom h1 great, very thick but doesn't quieten the volume of recordings.- excellent wind breaker - I'm out on the field interviewing in the windy UK and it serves it's purpose as well as it making my zoom look a little more aesthetically professional looking ;)

Great
Bought it for the DJI Osmo Pocket to go over the mikes when out on a windy day. Bit of a fudge but it works fine. Only downside is that my Cockerpoo does think it’s a dead cat and sits guard by the drawer it’s in!

Very useful accessory for the Zoom H1N field recorder
The twin microphones of the Zoom H1N are very sensitive, which is a good thing, but they are susceptible to wind noise when used outdoors, without a "deadcat" windshield. Recently I was disappointed with a recording of a busker on Eton Bridge and wished I had had a windshield.Having now tried this little furry cover for a brief test outdoors, it already seems to make a big improvement in stopping wind noise. You still need to take care not to rub the plastic housing of the microphone or allow the windshield to do so as this also gets amplified. If pulled on to the Zoom H1N, it does cover the display screen and the recording level dial, as well as the jack for the headphones, - but with some practice and used with care, I am sure it will be a must-have. addition.

Effectively reduces outdoor wind noise
Fits my Zoom H1 mic perfectly and drastically reduces wind noise in outdoor settings. But the benefits of this Furry Outdoor Windscreen Muff don't stop there!First of all, it's stylish. I couldn't take half a dozen steps in any direction because people stopped me to compliment my furry windscreen. "How lovely!" they'd say, or "This is private property, I'm calling the police."Still, I managed to complete my recording session, despite being mobbed by dozens of bikini-clad fashion models each clamoring for the chance to cuddle with my Furry Outdoor Microphone Windscreen Muff. I was eventually forced to scale a wall and take refuge inside an abandoned Burger King, while the now-desperate mob of models engaged in a determined search for the Muff. Also works as a convincing toupee, if your head measures approximately one and a half inches in diameter. My only qualm about this windscreen is its propensity for online gambling and its occasional thirst for human flesh.
