Excellent performance
Using this on a Mini ITX build in a Thermaltake V1. Works perfectly and on an i5 8400T with all 6 cores maxed out with prime 95 for over an hour, it doesn't go above 50c and pretty much the entire motherboard gets some airflow. You can turn the cooler round as it has offset heat pipes to provide clearance for different boards where the CPU socket might not be central. The supplied fan is very quiet and the whole thing is really easy to fit. The secufirm fitting kit works well and is easy to fit. Lots of accessories are supplied, including a splitter, extension and low nose adapter, as well as a spare set of fan clips. If you can fit this huge cooler in your case without any obstructions, you will definitely be happy with the results, the cooling is excellent and the whole package, as will all Noctua products is quality. The only real downside is the colour of the fans. It is Noctuas trademark and has been for many years, but as times change and people want a PC that looks the part, they are going to lose out to other manufacturers that are catering to that market.

A real Cool device!!
I have to say this is perhaps the most effective Processor cooler I've ever tried - and I've tried a lot of them over the years! The finned radiator is fed by 7 nickel-plated heat pipes, and to help dissipate the heat from this fin stack the extremely quiet Noctua 140mm PWM fan (supplied) can be fitted either to the top or (where height is especially tight) under the radiator. In extreme circumstances, where you might plan on occasionally driving the CPU very hard (when it'll produce most heat) you can even have one fan on top AND one underneath to help you knock a few more degrees of the CPU temperature!! However, if you prefer quiet cooling, there's also an adaptor supplied which (when fitted) will reduce the spin-speed of the fan considerably, if you only want to use a DC-controlled 3-pin connector on the motherboard. The cooler also features a very firm mounting system for holding it onto the motherboard and the processor itself. Being canted over in a C-shape to reduce its overall height, the cooler manages to avoid the nearby RAM sticks (even if they're fitted with heat-spreaders up to 70mm tall), whilst permitting access to the PCI-e slot nearest to the CPU on most ATX motherboards.

Perfect
Looked at a lot of coolers for this one. This came down to the mounting system. Obviously space and everything else were the conditions that had to be met but big chunk of metal n a few fans- there's lots do that. This things huge. Biggest chunk of metal and fan I could cram in there really. Looked at a bequiet top down cooler also, came down to how it mounts at that point. I know the Noctua mount an to be fair it has a few parts depending on the socket. There's some spacers in there and some screws too. It's not as simple as putting the push in intel cooler on, is what I'm tryna say... But you'd need to be soft in the head to screw it up an if you're soft in the head maybe you shouldn't be screwin wiv things in the first place. Once it's fitted it won't be goin anywhere for a while, it's rock solid. Used cryonought coz I had some there for refurbing the GPU. Temps dropped dramatically so I turned off the power limit and let the chip run free. Not a gaming system. Plex server, lots of storage and rippin blurays and UHD. Intel 11400f 32gb Patriot 3600 Quadro p2000 Temps on idle are barely worth even talking about, sitting 30-33. Under load, converting video while multiple streaming 4k and running a VM for torrents... Temps don't break 70 with an occasional couple of cores spiking to 73 bein most I've seen. Can't say enough good things about it man. If you're lookin at it and have a choice because of space just buy it. Lol, look at the pic comparing them both, it's hilarious the difference between them.

Worth the premium price, great performance
Really happy with this product, I tried cheaper coolers before this like the hyper evo 212, arctic freezer 33 esports one and while they did the job, they didnt really leave any headroom for overclocking. I was getting around 76c average and 80-85c max temp (no overclock) with them on stress tests and when playing battlefield V, with the noctua im sitting at around 69c average and 73max temp with an overclock of 4.6ghz and 1.25v on my i7 4790k, im pretty sure i could go have this at 4.7 easily without hitting 80c max temp too (i did for a few hours but wasnt stable and i didnt want to add more volts). On games like fallout 76 and divinity original sin 2 definitive edition and overwatch, i get average temps of around 56-60c (playing for a couple hours). Yes its not the prettiest looking cooler and it is still big if you go for the fan on top of the heatsink rather than below, but its. One of the only noctua fans which will fit my case as its less than 160mm. Installation was easy and quick plus they give you thermal paste with the cooler, which ive read is very good stuff too. Overall really happy with this cooler and feel it is worth the price as there is no compromise on the build quality and performance.

Good cooler but a pain in my ass to install.
I don't know if im just dumb but jesus this was difficult to install. Took me about two hours, 4 attempts and about 10 practices.

V good heatsink
Great purchase, though I had to turn it three times until I could get it to fit. I have quite tall memory and some tall heat sinks, hence choosing this in the first place. Only downside is that you can't set the fan to zero revs. It is almost silent when at minimum speed, so no harm done. Had it a good few months now and no issues. Keeps CPU cool under full load. I'm using extractor and inhaling case fans and have a whopping RTX 2070 graphics cards with three fans pumping out masses of heat. Keeps CPU well below peak and still does not sound like a jet taking off. Highly recommend.

Awesome cooler
Had a previous Noctua fan but there wasn't much clearance between the pipes and the RAM. I had to unscrew the fan any time I wanted to access the RAM. Not so with this cooler. I fitted the cooler facing away from the RAM and now I can access the RAM easily. I thought the other Noctua was quiet. I can't even hear this one! As some have said you have to turn the fan around as it comes turned in the way of the screw holes (used to tighten it up) but this is sooo easy to do. Simply unclip and reclip. A child could do it. I also moved the fan to the top for even more clearance from the RAM but tbh this probably wasn't necessary. It also makes it quite a bit taller. I can just about slide my HTPC lid closed (Silverstone GD09). 30 degrees idle is my Core i7 7700K. What a great cooler!

A sizeable cooler! It does the job though.
Managed to mount this on an i7-12700K installed on an Asus Prime Z690M-Plus mATX mobo, with the fan mounted under; just clearing my RAM. Tightening the two mounting screws though the holes in the aluminium fins can be tricky with the fan underneath, but pushing the fan blade round will clear the hole, and you’ll know when the screws are secure. Don’t overtighten. I’m old school here, so didn’t trust the instructions saying the thermal compound would spread when the cooler was attached, so spread a thin layer beforehand. My system is wedged into a Fractal Design Core 11 mini tower, and temps are currently great.

Top Notch Cooler. High Quality noctua
NH-C14S. Excellent design and high quality materials used by Noctua. Can fit slim case upto 142 mm of clearance if fan mounted on top or 115mm clearance if fan mounted under the heatsink. Installation is totally a breeze. Ryzen 5 pro 4650G never crosses 67C under full load.

One of the best top-down cooling heatsink
Bought this to replace my old C14. This thing cools one par and even better against the old C14 which has 2 fans installed. Very quiet. Help to cool the mosfets area too. With just the default configuration, on idle with my 10700F is around 36-38. Normal operation around 40. Gaming around 50+ to 60. You want even better cooling can move the fan to the top and have it blow down-ward. Or even better, it include another set of fan clip for you to mount another 14mm fan. Overall very good buy.
