Hair dryer won’t shrink this down to 25% of original diameter ratio, but a good industrial heat gun shrunk it down as expected.

It's a HUGE kit, and worth 5 stars, but I feel like the manufacturer intentionally includes far too many small tubes to inflate how "cool" the kit is. Most of the small tubes are completely unusable.

The media could not be loaded. What I like the most about this wrap is one layer is plenty thick. Sometimes I have shrunk the regular stuff over a connection, and then slipped yet another wrap over that one to get a thicker wrap in the end. With this, there is no need to. Plus, this stuff really sticks well, and remains flexible in the end.I shrunk 5 test pieces and left a condensed video of a couple to share. Generally, it took 2-3 times longer to shrink this than the regular stuff. This is notably thicker than the non-adhesive wrap and seems a lot more durable.The first one I shrunk on a straight piece of insulated 12 gauge household electrical wire. When it cooled, I tried to pull it off, but it wouldn’t budge. Regular heat shrink would have slipped off. I also bent the wire around where the heat shrink was. It was nice and flexible and still would not slip.With the second shrink I did I just wanted to see if it would pull the folded-over wires together as it shrunk, and it did. I checked when it cooled off. That area was also flexible and the wrap would not budge.I’m very happy with how this wrap performs and will likely just stick to this adhesive wrap going forward.

He says this kit is as described and contains 5 of the most common sizes of precut, waterproof (i.e. heat-activated adhesive) heat shrink tubing. The sizes listed are the pre-shrink internal diameter and are dimensionally accurate. He tested it using a hot air gun to see how it could shrink to a 3/16" wooden chopstick, since the wood won't change shape with the heat. From the photos, you can see that the chopstick was very loose inside the heat shrink but, after heating, the heat shrink fully gripped the chopstick and the adhesive melted and expanded out of the ends. He intentionally left a gap between the chopstick ends so he could get a cross-section to see the maximum amount of shrink, which is definitely at least 4:1. The material is tough and durable too. Highly recommend.

This 4:1 Ratio Heat Shrink Tubing from the Electronic Store is easy to use, and it bonded well to the USB-C charger cord that I attached it to. I like to re-enforce charging cords, because they get a lot of use and tend to wear out prematurely. I've had to purchase many replacement cords because of frayed wiring at connection points. That is until I started re-enforcing new charging cords with shrink wrap tubing. This brand of heat shrink tubing has a good amount of adhesive that bonded to the surface of the cord within 5 to 20 seconds of high heat with a heat gun. Some of the glue does spill out the ends of the tubing, but it is a small amount, and it is not very noticeable. In the past, I've used 3:1 shrink ratio tubing, and I think the 4:1 ratio tubing is better. This band, because it is adhesive lined, is also better than other tubing I've used in the past.

Perfect collection of sizes to cover everything from soldered unions to non-insulated "blade" connections in 12v electrical. Worked great when I ran out of insulated connectors for a recent RV renovation - no worries about shorting out those updated circuit runs. While not technically weather resistant, this kit covers a wide range of applications for interior electrical work (not EVERYTHING needs to be waterproof), and will provide insulation against faults and shorts in your electrical runs. Can't say that I managed to get 4:1 shrinkage, but it they definitely wrapped tight around 16ga wires and crimped-on blade connectors. Very happy.
