Excellent for coaches
I use this book to coach kids aged under 15. Their rating varies from 1000 to 1700. I also recommend the book to adults rated below 2000. From constant use I can say that this is an excellent tool for learning the endgame whatever your level is (up to 2300 as mentioned in the book). If you are already a decent player, check the chapters aimed at the lower rated players to ensure that you have all the essentials covered (it's a very good revision book). Then go to the chapters aimed at your level and move on from there. The explanations and ideas transmitted are crystal clear - both I and my students have been able to follow them without too much effort. The exercises have also been chosen well. I can really recommend this book. Of course, if you are looking for a comprehensive book covering all endgames, this is not the right choice. Try something by Averbakh for that.

Worth the money
I'm a 1500 rated player and I've learnt a few things that changed how I can save lost positions in endgames

Very good for a first book on endgames
A fine endgame book, and probably especially useful for a first study of endgames. However, it feels sometimes it is trying to make things simpler than they are. Endgame positions are usually very “unstable” - small tweak in the position can change the outcome completely. I think the book should have emphasised that a little more. Great explanations though and definitely a book I can recommend. I would only suggest to interested readers to also consider the Dvoretsky’s endgame book after reading this one or reading them in parallel.
