I tried this whey protein in the Double Rich Chocolate flavour and it mixes easily, without clumps. The texture is smooth and the chocolate taste is pleasant — but only when mixed with milk. With water, the flavour becomes weak and slightly bitter, so I didn’t enjoy it that way. Using milk makes the shake thicker and improves the taste a lot, making it easier to drink after workouts. The powder dissolves quickly in both milk and water, and it doesn’t leave residue at the bottom of the shaker. It’s a good option if you prefer taking whey with milk, but if you usually mix your protein with water, this flavour may not be the best choice.

My favourite tasting protein by a distance! Optimum nutrition always delivers with the double rich chocolate, and it tastes great as a hot chocolate alternative. Its not super thick which I really like, making it easy to mix and also to digest. Plus this little tub was perfect to take on holiday!

I've only ever tried MyProtein (chocolate flavour) and ON Gold (strawberry flavour). As they compare ON mixes much better and tastes even better than MP. I noticed better gains with MP but I know it's because I trained better and more consistent during that period. In saying that though I prefer ON due to mixability and better flavour. I found drinking MP made me gag and I hated it yet ON strawberry was like a yazoo milkshake. I have just ordered the double chocolate which delivers this week. I hope it tastes good as I know chocolate is a hard flavour to get right. Overall it's a good protein, clean and easy to digest. I don't suffer stomach problems but my friend does and between ON and MP, The Gold Whey didn't give him a bad stomach. I guess that's a real bonus for the more sensitive drinkers. *MP was during 2010 so flavours and product could have improved dramatically in the 4/5 years. I haven't trained in over a year weighing in at 17st, and 6ft tall. I will update this after three months of gym 3-5 days per week and give a verdict on how the whey helped me with weight loss, muscle build and muscle recovery. Edit: 7th January 2015 - I ordered the Double Rich Chocolate, all I can say is that the flavour is disgusting. I will use this but go back to Strawberry next time. I've mixed mine with Nesquick Chocolate to make it less of a chore (actually makes it nice and with Nesquicks nutrients it's not too bad an additive). Delivery was prompt, with super saver I actually tend to get my packages after two days. A+++ Been mixing high protein breakfast smoothies then having a shake before I work-out. The high protein breakfast will help with weight-loss and muscle recovery.

For a protein shake - tastes yummy. Tastes like chocolate milk, still has the subtle protein shake taste but nicest one I’ve had so far. Also didn’t have a protein shaker the first time I tried it and it didn’t clump.

Optimum Nutrition is my favourite protein brand they make quality and tasty whey protein powders and more. Highly recommend to try their chocolate protein powder!

C'est la première fois que je prends de la protéine, j'ai commencé ce matin et 10 mn après j'ai eu très mal à l'estomac! J'ai dû aller me coucher tellement que je n'étais pas bien. A l'heure où j'écris ce commentaire j'ai toujours mal. Peut-être que mon corps n'est pas habitué où peut-être que cette protéine ne convient pas à mon corps. Je suis un peu déçu car j'avais hâte d'essayer cette protéine par rapport aux avis positif et malheureusement mon corps ne le digère pas. Par contre le goût est très bon, j'ai pris chocolat. j'essaierai une autre marque pour voir si je rencontre le même soucis qu'avec celui-ci. Rectification de mon commentaire. J'ai retenté cette protéine deux jours après mais cette fois-ci avec du lait froid! Car oui je dois être blonde 🙄je pensais que je pouvais la prendre avec du lait tiède ce que j'avais fait! (Ne faites pas la même erreur que moi!) et je crois que c'est à cause de cela que j'ai eu mal à l'estomac. Mais cette fois-ci plus rien! Aucune douleur depuis que je la prends avec du lait froid. Vu que c'est la première fois que j'en prends je pense pouvoir être pardonnée de mon erreur de jugement 😬. Je change mon avis et je vous la conseille en plus c'est bon!

Llevo años usando consumiendo esta proteína y, después de haber probado varias marcas y sabores, sigue siendo mi favorita. El sabor me parece brutal, me gusta mucho y no se me hace pesado con el uso continuado. Para mí tiene una muy buena relación calidad-precio. Hay que tener en cuenta que no es un producto que tenga solamente proteína. Su perfil nutricional incluye otras cosas, pero personalmente, para mi caso no me supone un problema y encaja bien con lo que busco. Para mí es una opción fiable, con buen sabor y una calidad bastante consistente.
