Great for the car/restaurants
This was great for our 5 yr old last summer. We had a long car journey and planned lots of trips whilst on holiday so this was perfect. It was great for his writing and drawing and he enjoyed the stamps too. I can see why others have said this is flimsy fir younger kids. For a 4/5/6 yr old this is great and won’t get broken. For younger kids who have less control it is delicate. Also easy to lose the stamps but for the money it was an amazing fun activity for him and we could write draw for him too which he loved. Definitely recommend for a long car/plane journey for an older child

Delivery was very quick, arrived when estimated.
Present for my grandson. Bit more flimsy than I thought it would be but hopefully will do the trick to help hold a pen and write.

A bit disappointing
Not as black as it looks on the ad. But it is cheap and will keep a 3 year old amused.

Good while it lasted
Good value for money loved the shapes and how easy the pens were easy to use my son loved it however my sons curious mind was very much set on pulling the whole thing apart. Will definitely buy again

Doesn't work well and will disappoint
This is a rather poor version of a Tommy writer. Although it is rather flimsy, my two real problems are:1. It have a very poor resolution; and2. It does erase that well.Probably had I used it much I would also be saying that it breaks easily too! But I gave up after I noticed that I could write the number 1 to 20 without either messing up numbers (ie, have them poorly displayed) or writing so big that there wasn't much room left. The whole point of this item should be to draw things or to educate a child by looking at and copy what an adult is doing. I'd be surprised if that could happen much with this item as the 'screen' seems to be made up of a large number of hexagonal 'dots' so you need to write in such a way to allow each dot to appear. If you write small you get into the same problems as 1980s computer graphics--ie, blocks characters and resolution issues. Lego lettering and number wasn't what I wanted! Also the only way I have found to write on the drawing board's screen is to use their 'pen' provided. That is, plastic pens etc etc just don't work. Okay, but what happens when you child pulls the unit's 'pen' off the string and it gets lost? You'll end up with a pile of junk!My opinion is that this drawing board was designed by a group of adults who have never played with children or even talked to their parents. It isn't fit for purpose. It might be all right for an older child who doesn't break things easily and can write / draw well enough to cope with the board's poor resolution. But of course by that time this kid would be wanting a computer or tablet not this thing!

GREAT car toy!!
My child loves this toy! We bought it for a long car journey for an 18 month old who gets irritated when in the car too long and this worked a treat!!! It was the perfect toy for the car, because if she dropped the pen it was still attached by string and she could draw over and over and did not get bored! We also now use it at home and she lives to see her name written in it which is great for that recognition of her name and when she begins to learn letters and letter formation! I was concerned about quality due to price but it has been fantastic!!!

Do not buy
Admittedly the cheapest on the market but it doesn't really work at all because it's so flimsy
