Can it be used anywhere in the world

It's got an English plug on it, but with the right adaptor I don't see why not. It has got a switch which changes the voltage from 240 to 120. Best travel iron EVER!

Just received my Severin Steam iron but there was no measuring cup as mentioned by another buyer ?

It can still be filled from a slow running tap if you cannot get hold of a small cup.

Can this iron rest upright on its end when the handle is raised?

Good morning JCF - This in our opinion is an excellent iron for it's size and weight and has travelled all over Europe on many occasions with us working well. As you can appreciate it is a small iron and therefore does not have a lot of 'Tank' space for water so keep an eye on the water use and fill often.To answer you question - with the handle raised and in the working position it will certainly rest upright WITHOUT a problem.Hope this is of some help.
