This is the third one I have had , they are amazing and worth the extra cost compared with cheaper makes. I always recommend these to my friends and family . As expected this one also lives up to my expectations.if your into therapeutic uses of essential oils , these are a good way to use . Always seek the advice of an aromatherapist first as oils are potent .

Well-designed and attractive, this diffuser is easy to use and looks good. The water reservoir is easy to fill and a small measuring jug is provided. However the fill line is very clearly marked and after the first couple of times I haven't felt that I needed to use the measure. 6 or 8 drops of oil in one fill gives several hours of very effective use and the diffuser switches off automatically when empty.The colour-changing light can be set to cycle through the various colours or can be stopped and held static on any one of them. It also works without the light so is ideal for a bedroom since the automatic cut-off means it can be safely left running while you sleep. The 'on' light still shines but I turn the diffuser so that this is toward the wall and don't find it a problem. I see that some reviewers have complained that this is noisy. I haven't noticed that at all even when using it in a silent bedroom at night - there is an occasional gurgly burbly watery sound but it's very quiet and I find it adds to the relaxation. In fact, I like it so much that I've just ordered a second one for another room. It also comes attractively boxed so would make an ideal gift. Recommended.Edit: I quietly ignored the instruction not to use citrus oils in this and have been using it fairly regularly for about a year now with no sign of damage or problems. I guess it depends whether you want to take the chance...

The design is beautiful and it functions just as well. Fill with water to the line, add a few drops of your favourite essential oils - I've enjoyed discovering my favourite blends - and set it to puff and burble away (very quietly) in its corner. This has been one of my best Amazon purchases for the home, I've used it nearly every day for well over a year and haven't needed to replace the wee ceramic disk inside yet (though replacements can be bought from Amazon cheaply when needed). I like that it turns itself off when the water inside is empty, a nice safety feature. I also like being able to stop the colour change sequence if I want to, leaving it set on just one colour. The sound it makes is a gentle trickling / burbling which I don't really hear unless I listen out for it - definitely a relaxing sound which fades into the background and is unlikely to disturb or annoy. I've used every kind of essential oil in my Soto - including citrus - without any issues, just make sure to give it a quick rinse out between uses and leave to dry. If you are looking for a diffuser for your home, don't hesitate to get this one. I would repurchase in a heartbeat!

I wanted a diffuser which could be used next to the bed and therefore the noise level needed to be low. This is really quiet and is great for the bedroom not interrupting your sleep. Diffuses great and helps moisturise the air aiding a relaxing sleep. The only gripe is the light doesn't go off completely but a dull blue when in 'off' mode but that doesn't stop me using in the bedroom. Quality product!

Its a shame as its an attractive product and doesn't look like an eyesore in the house. The diffused oils seem to pack their punch in the first 90min and then it just seems to be producing "smoke" without the scent. The main problem for me is I primarily got it for the bedroom and unfortunately its far too noisy and even with all the lights turned off, the "ON /OFF" switch is still illuminated which still lights up the cone blue and the rest of the bedroom with it. This product is not ideal if you are thinking of using it in your bedroom.

The diffuser works well in terms of filling a largish room with the scent of the oil being used and it is fairly pleasing to look at for something made of white plastic.However, the 'light off' function does not work as light still shines through the plastic of the unit and the diffuser is also much noisier than I expected.A previous reviewer said that you could hear a faint bubble of water when the unit is running but in my experience there is also a annoying whirring motor noise which was audible even while watching TV at a 'regular' volume. For these two reasons I will not be able to use it in my son's bedroom overnight as I had intended.The product description makes the following claims but for the reasons mentioned above I believe the diffuser is not 'peaceful' due to the whirring motor noise nor is it suitable to use with the light-off option to soothe you while you sleep as the light still shines through the unit."Create a peaceful and calming haven anywhere with the Soto.""It also has a no light option to continue soothing whilst you sleep."

This diffuser is nice to look at and so easy to use.The cone shape at the top just pulls off very easily and there is a place to put your room temperature water with a max level indicator inside.You then put in whichever essential oil you choose & put the cone lid back on.Plug it in and there is a discreet button to turn on at the top.You press once to turn it on & allow different colours to change on a regular basis and then if you want to just have one particular colour showing you press the button again whilst that colour is showing.If you do not want to see any colours just the plain white you press the button for a 3rd time.To clean out if you are changing oils just use a plain water cloth & cotton buds, it's that simple.It's very quiet and the mist streams out of the top, I think it will be especially good if you wanted to have a nice scent to help someone who perhaps had a cold or simply just wants to relax.
