Good size and easy to assemble but, needs a better quality paint or more paint applied to the surfaces had to repaint it in order to last the environment out side that it was purchased for.

It's advertised as weatherproof but the manufacturer failed to build/ finish it so that it will hold up outdoors. In only 2 weeks outside:-the wood began to swell-the very thin wash of "paint" began to come off (paint is a very generous term) and-the knots in the wood started cracking.This was designed to look good online, you'll have to fix all the knots, seal joints & screw holes & paint it for it to last anytime at all.So far, the seller has failed to refund my wasted money on this. If that changes, I'll do an update.

I like this. Bought it for our cat we had to put outside due to her not wanting to use the kitty litter basket and my wife had enough of shamppooing the spots. Our cat took right to it with a plush dog bed. This was easy to assemble, did it by myself in less than half hour. Had it for four or five months through our wet winter here in San diego but it does have a roof with like shingle material I did place a piece of plywood over the top for protection and to let it extend about 20 inches beyond the front to keep the rain from going inside her door. I did put one of those clear vinyl entry way pieces to help keep also the rain and cold wind to a minimum. Also put a heating pad in there for the winter. Once I had this built I put a protective clear sealer on the wood. Hopefully to extend its life and I will put a new coat on each season. Shipped and delivered with no issues. Our cat is good size 19 lbs and this is perfect for her. The lid lifts up by two brackets and locks in place for removing bedding, cleaning house or just to say hello and give her a scratch under the chin.

I had to put the box it came in on top of the roof it leaks and the water puddles up on the roof. Wondering why it’s slanted if the water doesn’t run down? When trying to screw the roof in the wood broke off and I decided to just place roof without screwing in. I don’t lift the roof. Other than that the house is nice my dog is half husky and German shepherd he’s a big boy and has enough space to sleep inside without balling up.

It's exactly as shown and fits our ~40lb very well. You might consider the large dog house if your dog doesn't like "cozy" spaces, though. Overall we're happy with the product.

Only complaint is such cheap thin wood but they all are made out of crap wood these days. It was easy to build snd serves its purpose for now but I doubt will last more then a couple seasons

This arrived and it was not to hard to assemble and looked great. I loved that I could completely lift the lid, our dog seemed content. However, we live in a fairly windy area and it has blown over 3 times, the last time it smashed to pieces. I would highly recommend reinforcing the frame with heavier wood and weighing it down with something, especially if you live where there is wind.

Our family adopted a pitbull about five months ago, we purchased this home for him to sleep in. It was easy to install, however the wood is very thin. I would not recommend this in places where the weather is home. Our dog is happy in it in California weather. He chewed some of it down, but it's fine.
