Liquitex Acrylic Professional Pouring Effects Medium for Acrylic Paint, Gloss, 237 ml

I bought this for my crafting bits (mainly decorating baubles and similar stuff), and honestly, it’s really good. It does exactly what it says on the bottle, which is always a win. It’s really easy to work with – not too thick, not too runny – so it goes on nicely without loads of effort. It dries clear and gives a lovely smooth, glossy finish that makes everything look a bit more “finished” and professional. I’ve used it over acrylic paint and transfers and had no issues at all – no smudging or messing up the design, which I was a bit worried about at first. Once it’s dry, it feels quite durable too, so it’s great for things that might get handled. Also, you don’t need loads of it, so it should last a good while.

I use this primarily as a high gloss collage adhesive, rather than to alter paint pouring qualities. I bought this in error however it has worked very well for collage, especially when using glossy magazines where many glues can dull the images, this maintains full shine when dry. I have found this dries to touch dry quickly within an hour or so, however as with any acrylic medium it has a long cure time which can be weeks to be fully cured and it can be sticky if other papers are put on top and under pressure before it is fully cured. This is a very fluid medium (naturally, it is a pouring medium) which makes it easy to spread and get a thin layer as a glue. It is a good sized bottle that has also lasted very well because not much is needed for gluing and so it has been a good value, albeit accidental, purchase!

Great pouring medium. I tried it for the first time and was so impressed with the outcome. It's creamy and mixes easily with paint. There is no unpleasant smell. It dried bright and smooth. It doesn't produce any cells though, so you may have to use some additives to get cells if you want them. It's a perfect pouring medium but it's bloody expensive. On the bottle it says to use 5% paint to 95% medium. So you need A LOT. A couple of medium-sized paintings and a 1litre bottle is gone. I still buy it when on offer but have to look for cheaper alternatives.

Liquitex have a great range of mediums suited to acrylic paint for ultimate effects in your creations but I’m not advanced as some other artists that use it frequently for pouring layers of acrylic, there’s some amazing instagram and YouTube videos of its sheer purpose and range of techniques to achieve certain pouting styles. I advise you practice before final execution for beginners. Where gloves and ensure you use this product In studio environment or workshop, last thing you need is this on you’re carpet, clothes and so on. It’s tough stuff. Tech:Spec - There’s no odour as such which is a positive, the texture liquidity is not too thick yet slithers and holds well in pouring motion. Allows control and enough time to apply in terms of duration of drying/setting and duration of moving and pouring the style you desire can create a range of effects. Can be combined with heavy body acrylic which will thicken the texture slightly so slower pouring in contrast to a thinner liquid pour. You can use Liquitex acrylic paint range. Alternatively you can introduce alternative brands to. I purchased a small amount for minor pouring effects on my work for surrealities. It’s great fun. Look into online episodes as mentioned. Go for it. It’s good quality with a range of mixing and applying options to explore.

I bought this to use as a glossy varnish over paintings. It's not quite as high shine as I expected, but it's still a good gloss varnish. It dries down quickly and adheres to the surface underneath it well. It works fairly effectively as a varnish.

Fabulous meduim for acrylic pouring. Expensive but you don't have to use alot most of the time. Didn't like it as a varnish. Not enough glassy sheen.

qualität ist gut ,aber viel zu teuer.es gibt wesentlich billigere produkte.

I like this product for its workability. The mixing ratio is rather high therefore it goes quicker than most mediums. It is rather expensive. Im hoping its durability & integrity maintaining color will justify its cost.

All Liquitex products do what they are supposed to do. This is no different. Great product
