Fixed the algal bloom in 2 days
When I was cleaning the fish tank, I accidentally cracked it and needed to emergency-move the fish to a new tank. Because the old tank was an all-in-one, the filter had to be replaced, along with all of the water.. So the fish suddenly found themselves in a brand new tank with zero good bacteria to keep things balanced. Fresh water, clean gravel, brand new filter..... Sounds perfect... until the algal bloom kicked in. It only took about 6 hours before the water was so milky that you couldn't see the back of the tank.I did a water change, which half-helped, but the bloom was back the next morning. So I got some stability. I remembered getting it when we first got the tanks about 6 years ago, and it helped back then too. It arrived next day (Thanks Amazon) and I put it into the tank.By the end of the first day after adding the solution, the bloom had stabilised. It wasn't getting any milkier. So I did a partial water change and added a drop more to replace the stuff lost in the water change. By the next morning, things were getting better. 48 hours later, and the water was almost clear again.Well worth the money. Very fast acting!

Reliable bacteria booster—keeps tanks stable during cycling and water changes with zero clouding.
Used this during a fresh setup and again after a major water change—didn’t lose a single fish. Dosed as directed for 7 days and saw no ammonia or nitrite spikes. Water stayed clear, fish stayed active, and no weird smells or reactions.I’ve used it in both planted and bare-bottom tanks—works well with cichlids, shrimp, and fry. Doesn’t cloud the water, and it mixes clean. Bottle’s compact and easy to stash, and the dosing cap’s accurate enough for small tanks. It’s not magic, but it does what it says—keeps things stable when you’re starting fresh or making big changes. I keep a bottle in the gear stash for emergencies and new builds.👍 Pros✅ Fast-acting—supports tank cycling and resets✅ No clouding—water stays clear✅ Safe for all fish types and inverts✅ Compact bottle—easy to store✅ Works with planted and bare setups👎 Cons❌ Needs daily dosing for full effect❌ No visible change—relies on trust and test kits❌ Cap can drip—wipe after use❌ Not a cure-all—still need proper filtration🧭 Personal ReviewIf you want a bacteria booster that keeps your tank stable without the faff, Seachem Stability earns its spot. I’ve used it across new builds and heavy water changes—no drama, just clean results and peace of mind. Proper stash-ready gear for anyone who wants their tank sorted and stress-free.

Stability does just that, stabilize
I really like it (needs a bit more than reccomended) but on the whole it does what it needs to do. I add it to the filtration after a water change after the filter is turned back on and it often keeps the water parameters stable so pretty happy with this purchase.

Excellent bacteria
This is great bacteria. I actually use it for my fish pond, as it was recommended on many online groups. It always gives me very clear water, and since using it, I've hardly lost any fish.

Works Like Magic - Cycled a tank I thought would never cycle!
I have particularly soft water and so fish waste was causing acidity to eat through the buffer - I got some crushed coral to correct this but while I was waiting for it to arrive / work I had to perform lots of water changes to keep my fish happy, in doing this I lost my biological filter (cycle crashed).I was already fully stocked at this point so I bought Seachem’s water conditioner (prime) and dosed regularly to keep the fish safe as it binds ammonia and nitrite for 48 hours into a safe form - during this time I tried an array of bacterial products available from my local pet shop such as Tetra safe start and API quick start, these would give the appearance of working for a day or two but they would not last.I decided given prime was such an excellent product to try Seachem’s own product for biological filtration and I bought a 500ml bottle (great value for money) - this restored my cycle in just under two weeks using less than half the bottle (I now use it at every water change or when adding new fish etc.. to keep things stable) and the fish are now much happier. This saved my aquarium when things were looking hopeless and no other product would work.My advice to anyone using this to cycle a tank is to use it daily in conjunction with Prime every 48 hours if you are already stocked, although ideally you should cycle without fish using an non living ammonia source, obviously if like me you had a cycle and it crashed you have little option but to re-cycle the tank fully stocked!A sample cycling schedule devised by Seachem with dosing instructions for both Prime and Stability is available on their website - I would highly recommend following this - although you will probably find it works quicker than the four weeks in total that they suggest.
