Very Useful
I do a lot of communication work and these are great for breaking out RS232, 422 and 485. Bought this single unit to terminate a pack of 4 batteries that was intermittently dropping signal. Connected it to the last battery pack in the chain with the 120ohm resistor and no more lost data. They come in Doubles and Triples also, each having an integrated 120ohm resistor. The doubles and triples help you deal with the crazy things manufacturers do to get you to buy their cables and adapters. The doubles work great for configuring connections. The triples work well for simply listening in on communications (sniffing). Good product, built well, lots of uses, din rail mountable.

Good quality connector for RJ45 cables
It's not really an ethernet connector, but rather general purpose RJ45 connector, better suited for RS485 systems. It even has a built-in 120 Ohm termination resistors, which can be connected to any pins. Definitely a niche product, but in my case, it is exactly what I needed for a system which uses ethernet cables to daisy-chain several RS485 devices -- and this block is used to connect the chain to RS485 to Ethernet converter on one side, and terminate the chain with the resistor on the other side, while utilizing the remaining wires to provide power to the devises. So I am ordering two more, since I have 3 such systems.

RJ45 breakout board simplifies rs485 connections
I use a fire alarm system that communicates via RS485, and this product has been ideal for integrating with my current electrical panel. It allows me to connect the RJ45 cables I use as the medium for transmitting communication to devices spread throughout the building, creating a physical separation between the devices and my control panel. The design is compact and fits neatly into my setup, while the DIN rail mounting makes installation straightforward. Highly recommended for similar applications.
