ZINGS1L GS1L Gardz Sealer Primer 1 Litre, 1L, Clear

Good primer sealer. I use this on fresh new plaster to seal and prime ready for paint. Goes a long way as it’s a thin viscosity so acts as a mist coat. Works well, quality product from established brand. See pics of bare plaster sealed/primed and finally painted white. Recommended.

Very pleased with this, well worth the money, better than just using pva. Adherence and coverage was very good. Will use it again for sealing walls after plaster repairs.

I’ve used Zinsser Gardz before and it’s an excellent product – does exactly what it should, seals surfaces really well and gives a great base for painting. I had no issues with the product itself and would definitely recommend it. Unfortunately, this particular order was delayed quite a bit, and by the time it eventually arrived I no longer needed it, so I had to return it. A shame, as the product is fantastic, but the delivery experience on this occasion was disappointing.

I hardly ever write a review but for this item I just had to, I have a chimney breast that had damp patches (I had a problem with the chimney flashings that I had repaired) it had caused the chimney breast wall in my dinning room to crumble in places once it had dried out, it would have been impossible to just go ahead & paint, after looking at many reviews I settles on this item, after the crumbly patches had been filled in then left to set, work began on painting this on, it went on lovely, two coats were put on, allowing drying time between them, it was then left overnight to properly set, then two coats of a raspberry coloured paint was applied with a small roller, I am so pleased with the results, I have always had a keen sense of smell but with this there was no aroma at all, my wall looks amazing, be sure to wear safety goggles when applying, it’s a lot runnier than paint & you don’t want it going into your eyes, I highly recommend this product, I have over half a tin left but it will come in useful, it’s amazing.

I had researched the best product to use. This was recommended. Easy to use gave excellent results well worth the money.

No smell from it,easy to paint on wall,just waiting for it to dry for another coat,will update once I've painted over it to see in damp comes back,easy to clean from Bush as well,none on me,

Went on easily, but did not stop reactivation of wallpaper paste in several problem areas that this product was bought to solve. The rest of the wall was fine.

This primer is great for stabilizing dry walls that have been stripped of old paint and damaged. It is highly recommended
