Having tested several attack alarms, I feel that this one is the best design without the design flaws of too many others.Others may look prettier or appear more effective but there's an underlying flaw in many of the designs. Some of those which have a pull-cord attached can make activation a 2-hand process at a time when you're least likely to have two hands available. They're fine on paper but come to use one when needed and then you could find you're fumbling to activate it with both hands - but can't.This is different: it can be carried in your hand then quickly squeezed to activate it, almost like an automatic reflex action, hence this makes it one of the better designs available.It fits onto a key-ring, clips onto a belt or clothing or can be carried and, in a variety of colours, it doesn't look at all like an alarm hence it can be carried discreetly but with the confidence of knowing it's there - if needed. It's also very loud!

This alarm is quite small, convenient to hold and easy to turn on. It isn't as loud as I expected it to be, but it is loud enough to make enough noise to startle a person and/or draw attention of random passer-by people. It's also quite smart to use, anyone who orders it knows/will know what I mean by this.I would definitely recommend it, as even though it offers no guarantee that your may be attacker would leave you be, it is better than nothing and very good for this affordable price.I also hope no one would HAVE to use it but better safe than sorry.

I baught this for a friend who works at a hospital, she works alot of night shifts and as its winter it's still dark when she starts or finishes. It's easy to use by pressing the silver sides and to turn off you press the bottom black button. It's better then a cord pulling alarm as you may likely have your hands in your pockets while walking home in the cold. But be careful as it is easy to set it off. The sound is very loud infact I had a near heart attack when I accidentally set it off before reading instructions. But it is A good product and worth it

Lightweight alarm which is quite loud. However when l have carried it in my coat pocket and bent down or moved anyway but upright it goes off because any pressure on the sides however slight sets it off..carrying it in the hand all the time is not convenient and it is not designed for a key ring. I would not purchase another.

This is a very neat and compact alarm (the size of a cigarette lighter), easy to operate, and certainly eardeafening!It is so small and thin, you could easily attach a loop to the inside of your jacket or coat to attach the alarm to and you wouldn't even see it! An alarm needs to be at hand-reach, there is no use for it when it's at the bottom of your handbag, so size does matter, and this one is just perfect!The only comment I have is that the postage is a bit high and overpriced for something so small, but having said that, I would recommend this super effective tiny alarm!If it weren't for the high postage cost, I would have given it 5 stars!

Sound is good, size and shape good for holding in hand but very easy to set off by accident and embarrassing when struggling to find it in handbag to switch it off

Very good. I am going to wear it on my belt so it shouldn't go off accidentally. I encourage anyone who is using this to use it on their belt or use it on a place that isn't likely to go off.I pressed the sides to test it. The sound is piercing and I feel so much more confident knowing I can see this thing off. Whenever I feel under threat. It could add valuable time to an escape and scare off the attacker.You also have the advantage of feeling more confident with this thing, so an attack is less likely. Attackers usually go for vulnerable looking people.

having lost my original pull cord unit I bought a couple of cheap units with the pull cord but find that they frequently go off in my pocket by mistake as the cord works loose and also they are not very loud compared with the original unit. So I thought I'd try this. So far I am impressed. It is very loud and it lives in my pocket, so far without a sound. It is easy to operate, both on and off and definitely a huge improvement over others I've tried.
