Tower T80303 Cerasure 5 Piece Pan Set with Non-Stick Coating, Suitable for all Hob Types Including Induction, Graphite

After accidentally destroying a couple of pans in recent cooking ventures (don't ask!), I wanted to invest in a new pan set. On closer inspection of some of my remaining non-stick pans, I noticed that the Teflon was looking a tad scratched and even peely, and a quick search led me to this ceramic coated pan set. Although the first set I ordered went AWOL, I received a replacement fairly quickly from Amazon. This pan set is good-looking, a good weight (was worried they'd be a little heavy as I am small), cooks very well and uses around half (or less) the amount of oil I normally use to cook vegetables and eggs. This is great not only for health but to have your oil last longer! To those unfamiliar with ceramic pans, I have read that using oil shortens their lifespan, but I haven't found that I can cook the items I eat without a little oil at least (I don't really cook foods with any high fat in them). I will have to buy some refined olive oil as I read that virgin olive oil, which I use, leaves a film in the pan (and you don't want to scrub as it'll remove the coating). I've also read that ceramic-coated pans are not meant for high temperatures and therefore not suitable for browning consistently, but I've not had a problem with this. I do find that the pans take a tiny bit longer to warm up and then need to be turned down sooner though, so still mastering the art! Although the jury is out regarding toxins in Teflon, I'm really glad to have this ceramic set! Overall, I'm very happy with this new quality pan set. They are easy to wash, the pan and lid handles stay cool, they're pleasing to the eye, and they're great value for a British made set. Tower is misleading by advertising it as RRP £100 on Amazon though as the set is £49.99 on their own website. It'd be nice to have a 7-piece version with a frying and sauce pan one size further up more suited to batch cooking!

I purchased these as they were on offer at the time, and about half the cost of a set in the supermarket, and Tower are a reasonable name. I can't get too excited about pans, but these seem well made, and apparently are for use on all surfaces, (I haven't an induction hob, so can't comment on that) but seem to work well on normal electric hob, are easy to clean, apart from the non stick, which is a fetching blue/grey colour darkening slightly at the bottom. Likewise, I can't say I've experienced any issues with the non-stick coating, as experienced by others, I predominantly use plastic utensils or wooden spoons in these and have seen no flaking of the surface - not saying others have been, just my experience.

These pans are lovely they do what it says on the box - they are truly non-stick. They are excellent quality and look like they will wear well.

Very well made, strong pans. Anti stick works well. I rinse them straight after use. Reasonably priced and a great asset to the kitchen 👍🏻

Good value and quality.

They are non- stick, induction hob compatible, fit for purpose, nice design. Lots of food qualities and good value. The only con is that they are NOT dishwasher safe like advertised unfortunately and putting them in has ruined them. I only put them in twice. From the dishwasher, the coating has peeled off, a nail has gone orange from rust, it’s scratched the paint off the bottom as well. Not great! Should’ve just hand washed them. Note for others to be careful.

Ich habe sie mir vielleicht 4 Jahren gekauft (zusammen mit Silikonkochbesteck) und sie sind immer noch super. Die Beschichtung funktioniert immer noch - klar nicht wie am ersten Tag, schließlich sind sie fast jeden Tag in Benutzung, aber sie funktionieren immer noch perfekt.
