G-Shock Men's Watch GA-700

I am a definate G-Shock Fan and am always on the lookout for new and exciting models. I think I discovered this on You Tube and immediately fell in love with it. The GA 700 is a budget model but still has rugged and manly look - the main feature is the hugely sunken watch face, which redeems the cheaper rubber covering and much reduced features e.g. no Tough Solar, or Multi Band 6 etc. So purchased it, it arrived very very quickly (well done) took it out of the box and was underwhelmed; in fact so underwhelmed I put it back in it's box and arranged to send it back to Amazon - it just looked so cheap. I looked at those You Tube blogs again, then tried the watch on for a second look; now I am in-love with it!! I love the easy to read day and date window, I love the oversized time markers and especially the oversized hands - they give the watch a lot of authority. The GA 700 has all the usual G-Shock powers: Water resistance, Shock resistance and multi functiionality. This is a great watch for Squaddies, Armed Forces, Police Officers, Wide boys and geeks. I love the way even with the quickest glance you can read the time. So I've been converted from disappointment to slight obssession and would highly recommend this watch. Oh I may elect to keep this one after all. )))). Budget G-Shock, bloody asthetic and very clear ledgebility on the basic model - day/date window can be little difficult to see on the all black in low light situations; but good watch all round. It’s a good, very reliable watch. I wear it everyday. The case is quite durable. Gives great protection to the glass. Not too heavy either, good feel on the wrist.

Looks great and fits nicely. Robust and waterproof as expected from GSHOCK. Light is not perfect at illuminating the display at night - as mentioned by others. It reflects off the hands and distorts the view. Big hands make it easy to read in daylight though. Would recommend.

Good stylish watch. Brought for myself. The light is not attractive and would be better if the hour and minute bars illuminate in dark. Apart from that, happy customer so far. Oh, wait, when its under -0c temperatures, the watch build a mist inside. Leaving it hard to see the time. When temp is back over 0c, it disappears .

Very good product and very high quality

Bought this as Birthday gift for my eldest son, he absolutely loves it. Easy to read only complaint he has was the instruction manual was not easy to follow when he was setting it up. That being said once it is set up you never need to worry about it till you have to change the battery as it automatically adjusts for daylight saving .

Love the blue colour. I was a bit apprehensive when ordering because some YouTube reviews made it seem quite light coloured and cheap looking. I needn't have worried. I would say the colour is more of a royal blue and looks great on my 7.5 inch wrist. I would suggest that people having problems with the quality and water resistance have probably got fakes. There seems to be a lot about and that's why I made sure that Amazon was the seller, not just the supplier

The "backlight" is way too bright - more like a flash bang - and not in the correct position so you cannot read the time without blinding yourself - so it's certainly not for use in a "tactical" sense! The digital aspects are not backlit, so totally unreadable in the dark - very poor design. And pretty hard to read in daylight too. Instructions are hard to follow as some of the videos for the GA-700 differ completely from the minuscule handbook - recommend you download the PDF on a decent sized monitor to make them readable. Even when you can read them, it's hard to follow as the digital display is so hard to read. Not even sure where to start for the split times as it is so impossible to see. Otherwise its a great looking watch and extremely comfortable and a nice size. I would have expected more from CASIO quite frankly. The word "tactical" belongs no-where in this description!

Article reçu neuf sous blister étiqueté, dans un emballage d'origine tout en carton avec l'inscription "LOVE THE SEA AND THE EARTH", pas de boîte hexagonale en métal, pas de mousse de protection, la montre est enveloppée d'une pochette en tissu dans un présentoir en carton. Produit authentique (code barre, n° du modèle, mode d'emploi conforme au module, certificat de garantie, inscriptions sur le fond de la montre, étiquette, n° de série, etc... tout est conforme). Bonne qualité de fabrication. Etanchéité testée en baignade. Tout fonctionne parfaitement. L'affichage numérique négatif est bien visible en pleine lumière du jour mais il n'est pas rétro-éclairé. Le rétro-éclairage de la montre permet uniquement de lire l'heure la nuit avec les aiguilles (elles ne sont pas recouvertes de matière lumineuse). Grosse montre, bien présente au poignet (comparable à la gx-56 "king").

Trage die Uhr jetzt seit ein paar Tagen. Sieht super aus, fühlt sich super an (ist trotz der Größe nicht schwer). Auf Robustheit noch nicht getestet, aber das macht man ja auch nicht willkürlich. Mir war es wichtig eine sehr robute Uhr zu haben, (bin Bauingenieur, habe 1 Kleinkind und das zweite kommt in 3 Wochen). Sprich die Uhr wird garantiert oft dreckig werden, ggf. auch mal runterfallen. Gleichzeitig sollte sie aber auch mal zu einem Hemd passen. Aus diesen Gründen G-Shock mit analogem Ziffernblatt. Die Einstellung ist trotz der Aussage mancher sehr einfach nach Bedienungsanleitung. Zudem gibt es haufenweise Videos im Internet (auch zu diesem Modell). Ich bin mit 77 kg bei 1,79 m Größe ein schlanker/athletischer und sehr sportlicher Mensch. Der Umfang meines Handgelenks an der schmalsten Stelle beträgt ca. 17,5 oder 18 cm. Die Uhr ist fett, ja, aber sie sieht dennoch top aus. Kann mir mittlerweile schon garnicht mehr vorstellen, eine kleinere Uhr zu tragen. Die Beleuchtung ist wie bei scheinbar allen G-Shocks in diesem Preissegment nicht optimal, allerdings ist sie bei dieser m.E. deutlich heller als bei den meisten anderen und zudem ist dieses Modell eins der wenigen, bei dem ein guter Kontrast zwischen Zeigern und Ziffernblatt vorhanden ist und man auch bei weniger guten Lichtverhältnissen die Uhr stets gut ablesen kann. D.h. es gibt kleine Tränen (siehe Beleuchtung, oder die Schnalle ist ebenfalls nur aus schwarzem Kunststoff statt aus Stahl), aber bei dem Preis mehr als zu verkraften. Von daher: 5 Sterne von mir!

Il Casio G-Shock è ottimo. Leggendo sui vari forum si leggono critiche per un paio di cose: la chiusura in plastica e non in metallo e la luce troppo flebile. Per quanto riguarda la chiusura in plastica, per ora, non riscontro aspetti negativi, è robusta, leggera, nulla da rilevare, quindi non do un giudizio negativo. Per la luce: usando l'orologio anche al buio, quando gli occhi sono abituati a poca luce i vecchi quadranti elettro illuminati mi ferivano gli occhi (anche di notte, se mi svegliavo e volevo controllare l'ora) mentre questo led è molto più confortevole e non mi fa male. L'ora si legge benissimo checchè se ne dica. L'orologio in sè è ottimo, fa parte della famiglia entry level ma da una sensazione di solidità e di ben costruito notevole. Escludendo i top di gamma è il migliore G-Shock ana-digi in cui la lettura delle lancette è immediata e perfetta! A colpo d'occhio è subito chiara e precisa. Il display negativo è....negativo, quindi si sa cosa si compra; è meno chiaro di un positivo ma è molto più leggibile di tanti altri. Ottima la funziona di spostamento delle lancette per avere una visione chiara del display digitale. Questo modulo ha qualche novità come il cronometro che parte immediatamente con la pressione di un tasto anche senza entrare nella modalità cronometro come in passato. Un'altra funzione non così comune è lo switch tra l'ora di casa e un altro fuso orario. La sensazione tattile è molto piacevole, il materiale del cinturino e della cassa ha un effetto vellutato. Lo consiglio caldamente, un prodotto molto valido e molto bello al polso. RECENSIONE SPEDIZIONE: NON CI SIAMO! Pago Prime per avere la spedizione in un giorno ma da quando le poste italiane si occupano della faccenda insieme ad Amazon il servizio è peggiorato. Mai avuto ritardi con Prime in passato ma non è stato così questa volta, ho dovuto aspettare tutto il week end prima di ricevere il pacchetto. A questo punto preferisco non pagare più Prime se tanto il servizio non mi viene fornito correttamente.
