Nice textured finish
I decided to repaint my brown kallex with this paintYou don’t need a primer as it’s a thick paintProvides a really nice finish with a nice textured feelI would recommend a litre tin for the 8 drawer kallex. 750ml was tough.

Exceeded expectations
Amazing! Has revitalised old chest of drawers. As others have said, a little goes a long way.

Dries very quickly
Thin even after stirred yet dries very quickly, so wipe any drips right away and do not try to correct any wobbly brush stroke, better to let it dry then reapply. I am pleased with the results and it is tougher than it looks, as I found when moving the very heavy cabinet I painted into position, next to another cupboard.

Needs watered down or brush marks show.
I didn't like this paint at all..it was gloopy and brush marks showed up very clearly.. There's no way this could be classed as a one coat paint..I lightly sanded down the first coat then watered down what paint was left with about a quarter of water to paint then the watered down coat went on nicely. So it is fine so long as you do it like that. My unit turned out really nicely but once I waxed it it gained a French shabby chic look which wasn't the look I was aiming for but?.it is nice all the same. So, if it's a shabby chic look you're aiming for then this paint is great for that. I won't be using any type of chalk paint again as my shabby chic phase died out a few years ago..lol. but, as I said, I am happy with the final result but it was not an enjoyable project.I've edited to add that even after a wax coating was applied over the top of this paint, when I washed the glass doors some water got onto the paint and the paint wiped off, even with 2 coats of wax applied!!. I just moved house don't have time at the moment to sand it all back and, repaint (with a different paint). So, I will have to completely re do this display cabinet again once the rest of the house is done.If you are using this paint don't go with the recommended wax, use some acrylic varnish to give it a durable finish and do yourself a favour..

Good value for money
I nearly returned this product as the colour on the tin did not match the advertised colour.I mixed it thoroughly but found it a little runnier than what I'm used to. However on the second day, it had thickened up considerably in the tin!I applied it to three different surfaces:I applied one coat to a pallet and it went on very well. When applied to a varnished item, the coverage wasn't as great but improved with a 2nd coat. When applied over a previously chalk painted item, it went on beautifully. The paint does dry to a winter grey (unlike the tin example which looks cream!)A little definitely goes a long way and I would buy this again.Don't be put off by the colour sample on the tin!
