Grey Upcycled Furniture Paint in Chalky Finish - Winter Grey 750ml

I highly recommend this paint as it was easy to put on and is a beautiful pale grey colour which can be seen in my photos. However once applied, the final varnish did make it slightly darker. The only negative i found was that the tin was not easy to open. Being completely new to painting furniture using chalk paint, I did some research first. Initially I used a no drag brush, but the brush marks were really evident, so I used a small paint roller instead - with much better results. I added a small amount of water to the roller tray and mixed it well. This was something I’d seen recommended to stop the paint drying too fast. This worked well. It was also suggested not to allow the paint to dry under the rim of the tin as when it dried, bits fell in the paint so I wiped it with kitchen roll each time to prevent this. Great results from using this paint and it’s nice and simple to use, with no necessary sanding before painting. A simple wash down is all that is needed and it can be applied to lots of surfaces.

Thin even after stirred yet dries very quickly, so wipe any drips right away and do not try to correct any wobbly brush stroke, better to let it dry then reapply. I am pleased with the results and it is tougher than it looks, as I found when moving the very heavy cabinet I painted into position, next to another cupboard.

I bought this product to upcycle my furniture. I have tried this version as spray paint and I was completely surprised not only as to how far the product stretches but the quality of the overall item. When I used the spray paint it left a chalky residue and I wasnt happy with the overall effect, but the paint is completely different. The finish is very similar if not a shade lighter to the product on the tin and has completely transformed my living room furniture. For this size tin we have been able to do 4 cabinets without needing to water this down which on some reviews many people have. The consistency is thick and I can see why you would want to water down. The price is competitive and I think for £12 its one of the best things I've purchased this year. We used this on oak furniture, a TV stand and 3 more shelf type units. The finish on the oak wasn't varnished therefore I cannot advise whether you would need to sand it down, however, we didn't on ours. We painted straight on top and it gave such a smooth finish, some of the natural wood grain underneath came through but it just added to the end effect! Really happy with how this turned out! Pleased with this paint. It arrived promptly. Colour is as shown. Needed 2 coats but was expecting that. Good value too!

This is the Third time I have ordered this paint & every time it has been a different colour, luckily enough, always for a different job. This time it's Antique white, last time it was Winter grey & the first time it was a darker colour. Great, easy to apply & covers well, the only problem has been that someone does not appear to check or care what they are supplying.

I nearly returned this product as the colour on the tin did not match the advertised colour. I mixed it thoroughly but found it a little runnier than what I'm used to. However on the second day, it had thickened up considerably in the tin! I applied it to three different surfaces: I applied one coat to a pallet and it went on very well. When applied to a varnished item, the coverage wasn't as great but improved with a 2nd coat. When applied over a previously chalk painted item, it went on beautifully. The paint does dry to a winter grey (unlike the tin example which looks cream!) A little definitely goes a long way and I would buy this again. Don't be put off by the colour sample on the tin!

Ein Anstrich reicht um eine gute erste Basis zu bekommen. Beim zweiten ist dann alles gedeckt. Schattierungen gemacht und mit wax versiegelt. Für shabby style perfekt, trocknet schnell und riecht kaum. Wer pinselstrich Effekte mag ist damit super bedient. Mit Rolle läßt sich auch gut auftragen und die Farbe ist sehr ergiebig. Empfehle mindestens paar Stunden zu warten bevor man den zweiten Anstrich macht.

Prodotto arrivato nei tempi previsti , purtroppo la confezione non è perfettamente integra ma non vi sono perdite del prodotto interno quindi ok , proverò il prodotto la prossima settimana su una pota vi aggiorno .

Buona coprenza, si asciuga abbastanza in fretta, non ha un odore troppo intenso. Io l'ho usata per dipingere un mobile al chiuso. Ho arieggiato per un'oretta e l'odore era quasi sparito. Nel complesso sono soddisfatta. La spedizione è arrivata addirittura un po' prima del previsto.
