No there was, but people voted to get rid of it because it came with a list of other people's tunes that where out dated and didn't work for people who wanted to play freely, and to tune it in required too much bureaucracy as a panel of people nominated them selves a high wage to approve and sign off each note and who ever tuned it needed a certificate to prove they was qualified that cost them a chunk of change and needed to be renewed every year. Plus the union jack looks much more stylish.

If you are using the digital tuner check that it is set at ‘U’ for ‘Ukulele’ in the display. The ukulele is tuned to what is called re-entrant tuning where the fourth string is tuned to G but an octave higher. If you own a guitar put a capo on the fifth fret and the notes of strings 4-3-2-1 will then be the same as the ukulele. Hope this helps!
