How long does it extend to?

It states in the description that it extends to the height of 2.7m?

Like any other metal thing - if you chip or scrape it & it gets wet & doesn't get dried....it'll rust. So, if you can, put it inside when not ihn use & dry it off if it's wet. Mine's lasting fine. A good investment for somebody who has a washing out on the line every other day.

Have you flipped the gray part Personally I’d never buy another one as they slip and allow the washing line to drop. Send it back if you can

How to use it? Do I need to hang all the clothes on the clothes line first?

It is easier to hang clothes on the line and then put the prop on the line and extend it. If you have a heavy wash put the prop on the line and hang the washing then extend the prop. If you put an extended prop on the line in the upright position you won’t reach the washing.
