I put the water heat to full when i sit down. By the time i have dropped the kids to the pool the water is hot. I press the Auto button and its perfect for me. It hits bullseye everytime. Ive named the seat Eric after Eric Bristow. The water does start to cool down just before the wash finishes but its ok and not unpleasant. A final swipe with 1 square of Andrex and the paper looks like a vicars hankey, i am very impressed. Occasionally there is a small spotting but nothing to complain about. I wish it hadn’t taken a bog roll shortage for me to invest in Eric

You don't need a valve. The water supply comes from a pipe that fits to the 1/2" BSP adapter supplied in the box. Almost every UK toilet has a 1/2" BSP connection where the water supply goes into the cistern. You may be able to unscrew the pipe taking water into the cistern, screw the adapter in its place, then reattach the pipe to the adapter. However, there may not be enough "give" in the pipe to move it down about three quarters of an inch necessaryto take the adapter. In that case, the easiest solution is to buy a flexible connector such as https://www.amazon.co.uk/Short-Flexible-Braided-Connector-Isolator/dp/B0187NX1FC and fit that.

Q: If the Front edge to back measurement is 520mm (ie >500mm), but the front edge to back of bowl is 382mm, should I go for the normal or elongated?
