It is but you need a good eraser. At the moment you have to get the eraser from Japan. The paper needs to be of good quality as well.

Would this be safe in a mont blanc 146?

In my experience Pelikan ink works very well in a whole variety of fountain pens, I use it in my Mont Blanc pens...

Is this ink water resistant? If I spilled water on the page I've written on, would the ink still be legible?

Once I have filled my pen's converter with black ink, can I change later to a colour? (Perhaps by filling with water & emptying a few times?)

I have washed pens out with water, sometimes the bluwe ink seems a little darker, but after a few re-fills it looks normal. I recommend Pelikan.
