Love them
Love these disc, they really do help keep your food fresher for longer. I noticed a difference straight away when I started to use these and I always buy them now. I pop one in the salad draw and one one above in the main section.

Great little product
These are great, I’ve a small fridge which is not good when I’ve just shopped & squeezed lots of food in the veg/salad draw.Since using the discs food definitely lasts longer.I also use in the fruit bowl.

Rubbish
Did not work, are flimsy, unable to clean, and they did not help to preserve my fruit and veg any longer than they normally go off. Waste of money.

Helps Keep Fruit Fresh
Keeping fruit and vegetables fresh can often be a problem. We buy them in supermarkets or local green-grocersand although freshly bought, we never really know just how fresh they were when they came into any store.Having become disappointed with fruit becoming soft and wrinkly after just a couple of days, I decided totry these Ecoegg Fresher For Longer Discs which help slow down the emission of ethylene which is given offas fruit deteriorates. There are 4 in the pack, each contain between 7-10% Potassium Permanganate. You place one disc into thebottom of your fruit bowl with the printed label side upwards, and then fill your bowl with fruit as usual. Theycan also be placed into the salad drawer of your fridge too. Make sure the fruit is dry when placed in the bowl.Even after a few days usage, I have noticed that most shop bought fruit stays firm and less wrinkly, so Iwill continue to use them. They come with an instruction sheet, have a three months life before you need to change them, and have aspace to write "Replace on:" you simply add the date. They have an EC No:231-760-3 so are EC registeredas safe to use.I still keep bananas away from the fruit bowl as they are said to give off more ethylene gas that can makeother fruit go off quicker, but apart from that my fruit seems to stay edible for longer.Edited on 30th January 2017Have had just received my second order of these discs, they really do workso will continue to use them.

I think people don't understand how these work....
I buy them regularly, and they work. But people, on some comments, seem to think that this will stop the fruit from going mouldy in the bowl, and they do not work like that at all.If your fruit goes mouldy within a few days, is because the produce was already contaminated from the process it got to you (producer, packer, shop) and the skin/peel was already starting to deteriorate.By the time you see mould, the fruit was already making its way there, it takes several days for mould to set from just being on the skin. These discs slow down the fruit own's deterioration process outside of a controlled, oxygen free environment, but they do nothing in stopping moulds from taking over if already heavily contaminated. In fact, keeping citrus near apples or bananas will only make them go bad faster. Also they shouldn't get wet (the discs) and they should be able to "breathe" so that the air around your fruit and veg circulates well. The browning of the discs means the pellets are collecting the ethylene gas which is a byproduct of food deterioration and decay. The more gas, the quicker they deteriorate. They may not last 3 months.
