Great fish-tape tool at a great price!!! 😄
This is going to come in very handy! The tool seems to be quite made well. All of the threads are burr-free and are easy to connect and secure all of the parts together well. The various cable connection tips will work well for a variety of things. There is a magnetic tip, as well. This is great for retrieving dropped nuts and bolts in an engine compartment, or from deep within a wall cavity. The ability to get a longer reach by adding multiple extensions makes my telescoping magnet’s reach pale in comparison. While the magnetic tip is small, meaning it won’t hold a great deal of weight, it’s still a very useful addition to this tool. The plastic cylinder that keeps all of the individual components in one place, has a friction cap on each end that fit very tightly, so the chance of them falling off and spilling parts everywhere, is not a concern at all. Overall, and especially considering the price, I highly recommend this fish-tape tool. It’ll be an often used addition to my tool collection. 😄

Worked like a charm with mods
Bought this set to replace my father in laws set that he used back in the 70s. His set had 5 foot long fiberglass rods with the same screw type method. Just like in the 70s, you had to be careful when installing communication wire with this style. You CAN NOT cram, jam, force the rod. If it gets stuck, pull back and re insert. If you have to, jiggle it...... Yes, like other reviews have stated, there rods will unscrew from each other when in the wall. That is how the tips end up breaking from bends Be proactive. What I did was take 4 rods, and created 1 four foot section. I used clear epoxy on the threads and thighten them snugged. Then slipped over heat wrap and to help reinforce the connection. Obviously these sections are permanent which was my goal. When you connect each 4 foot section, just use a small amount of duct tape after you snuggle them up. Worked great for as I needed to run another Cat 6 line and lost my tracer line (Old trick; run a durable string line with your cable if you plan to revisit the area in the future so you don't need to redo the rod) All in all, this was an extreme value for the money. Sometimes you just need to be creative with the product. Saved $ as usual DYI vs having someone do it.

If there could be negative stars, this would be it
As an IT tech that does a lot of data drops, cable runs, and infrastructure work, I was honestly hoping these would actually glow in the dark and be useful in real-world environments. Unfortunately, reality hit pretty fast. The rods are flimsy, bend far too easily, and constantly come apart during use. To be blunt, tying a string to a rat and sending it across the ceiling would probably be more accurate and effective than using this fish rod kit. -_- it was ugh interesting. The build quality feels extremely cheap, and confidence in the product disappears the second you start trying to push it through a ceiling or wall cavity. I honestly do not even want to throw them in the trash because I would feel bad for my trash barrel having to deal with them. If you could not tell already, I am greatly unsatisfied and disappointed with this purchase.

It’s not professional tool, but it will get you by worked really well
It seemed pretty cheap when I first got it then I put it together has brass ends on them so what I did is to reinforce it I put a piece of tape electrician tape over the brass fittings. It seemed to work really well. I used them from a whole bottom of my floor put wafer lights in if And I didn’t break any I think as long as you keep them tight and then put electrician tapes around it. You won’t break them so I still have them and they’re not broken so I can use them again sometime. And they’re pretty flexible. There are some kind of fiberglass.

Good for the Price, But Don't Expect a Jedi Master
Let's be clear: the FTIHTRY 14FT Fiberglass Running Rods are a solid value for the weekend warrior or DIYer. If you've got a small project, like running some speaker wire through a couple of walls or adding a new outlet, these will absolutely get the job done without breaking the bank. The rods are bright green, which is a nice touch, and the various attachments are a good inclusion for the price. However, if you're a professional who needs a tool that can handle constant abuse, you might want to spend a little more. The connections, while they work, feel a bit less durable than some of the pricier brands. I wouldn't want to put a ton of strain on them, and I could see a couple of the joints snapping if you hit a truly stubborn snag. They're flexible, but maybe a little too flexible for pushing through a long, congested run. Think of it this way: this is your go-to tool for a quick fix or a simple project. It's the reliable sidekick, not the hero of your toolkit. For that, it's a solid four stars. It gets the job done, but it's not going to wow you with its sheer power.

Good value, versatile
Multiple short rods vs fewer long ones. I put in new outlet 5 feet above standard wall outlet. Standard is only 14" above the floor. These short rods made it easy to snake up from there.

Inexpensive, but not represented well by product photos
It's an okay set of sticks, I don't see them holding up to a lot of use, but I don't plan on using them as much as trades or LV techs might. The big issue upon receiving is the container, it's a thick walled cardboard tube, not clear plastic like pictured, with poor fitting plastic caps on both ends, which will easily open and spill contents. The rods themselves are not the high vis green like pictured, much closer to Crayola green, so easy use in dark spaces (most of them) is significantly reduced. The 45ft kit has a lot of rods, and they're relatively short, so the lengths you can set are numerous, which is helpful in cramped spaces. After a few uses, I've noticed that some of the treads are not well made, and many of the posts cannot be fully screwed in as a result. This is approximately 10% of the threads, as far as I can tell.

Not a trustworthy construction .
I think this might be simply a “you get what you pay for” item. Inexpensive and not super sturdy. For in-wall fishing most likely good. My application was for an underground conduit with cabling already in the conduit. The connection between two of the rods snapped off when pulling through a bend, so left half my fish in the conduit. Normal pulling strength not a lot of heft behind it. Attachments are nice, but not if you have to leave your dish in the run you’re pulling. If you’re pulling something through a buried conduit under concrete - recommend a commercial version. This should be used in light duty residential applications.

Be careful
These seem good but they aren’t as robust as I’d have hope. Broke one on my first try using them. No way to contact the seller to complain.

Would recommend!
Exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price. Thank you.

Literally paid for itself
I couldn’t of done a recent job nearly as easy without this, I highly recommend for fishing cables through hard to reach places
