A great uv torch, it is of substantial quality and seems very robust. I bought this after i had sold a few used items on fleabay and on 1 occasion someone asked for a refund and sent me their faulty item back and tried to claim that the 1 had sent them didn't work (despite there being scratches in places where mine didn't have them) so now i security mark anything electronic that i sell as a point of proof. ! point to note is that i can not get it to work with Amazon basics rechargeable batteries because they must be a wee bit fatter that normal and it was scraping the outer coating of the battery off when i tried to insert it.

I had a pet who disgraces himself regularly. The torch is no use in daylight, but at night it enables you to spot cat pee very easily and wipe it away with confidence.

The torch it's self, the L.E.Ds are brilliant but I still have some big reservations about this. The battery housing is its weak point because the housing is made from really cheap thin and flimsy plastic and when it's under tension from the batteries in housing it almost feels like it wants to fall apart in your hands and the circuitry on the battery housing is very, very poor it's either riveted or stamped the contacts and when the batteries get hot from constant use, the rivets will simply detach from the housing and break the circuit breaking your torch (flash light if your from USA). I've seen it all before as I had nearly an identical battery housing to this one and it failed exactly the way I described above 🔝4 times as it was replaced 4 times. Don't get me wrong it's a bargain but I'd expect you to be looking for a replacement with in a year. It just annoyed me as they made a good little uv torch and then ruined it with substandard components as I have always thought if your going to do a job do it right and do a good job of it the first time. They have used the K.I.S.S approach with this one.

Very useful product that helps to understand the dogs’ urine spots and to eliminate it efficiently.

I have a new puppy and wanted to see where the dog urine was when she has an accident. Unfortunately any area where I know there is dog urine, does not show up in the UV light. I've tried it on dried urine and fresh / wet urine and the urine is not highlighted by the torch. This is VERY disappointing considering that the product's primary description is, "UV Torch, Vansky UV Flashlight Black Light for Pet Urine Detection". It does NOT work for dog urine. It does show white bits of fluff and possibly one or two types of food stain but it definitely doesn't show dog urine which was the main reason for buying it.

A well made and robust knurled metal torch with (I guess) 50 leds in the head. Supplied with 3 x aa batteries. It gives a dull purple light that strongly activates anything that contains a UV fluorescent substance- eg most white papers, anything that has been washed in washing powder but one use is for detecting cat or dog (or human!) wee (or worse) stains on carpets. Torch is best used in a dark room . A reasonable price for a well constructed piece of equipment. Can also be used for detetecting fakes eg bank notes and (maybe) alterations or additions to artworks . Really pleased so far.
