Lovely train set. A really good price for similar on the market. Perfect for the Christmas tree which is what we wanted.

The train set was delivered next day and very well packaged. It is a lovely retro train set and a lot is included and very good value. It is a Christmas gift for my Husband and we haven’t got space for a full layout but this battery powered set will be fun for him!

it's a great set but impossible to buy any extras for. It seems to be a non-standard gauge so we couldn't find any similar products anywhere that would allow us to expand the set or get more trains. Would be 5 stars for the money if it was expandable, so it's great for anyone just looking for this set without a kid who gets excited and wants to spend their birthday money on building something more complex

Bought for my grandsons 3rd birthday. He has hardly left it alone since opening the box. Good quality batteries (2 AA's) will last about three days. With two additions this train set would wipe the floor with the competition; it is a shame there is no remote control for on/off (small hands using the switch will usually derail the engine and carriage) and PLEASE can the manufacturer make spare track and points available. There is 14 feet of track in the box which is fine for indoors but this toy is so robust it cries out to be used in the garden and to be able to buy more track would make it even better. For a starter train set for a young child there is absolutely no point at all in paying almost £100 when this plastic beauty that has so much play value can be bought so cheaply.

The media could not be loaded. It’s good value for money. However the sounds are very loud and can become annoying very quickly. Also the track needs to be completely flat otherwise the train derails. I also tried it with a 10cm incline and it struggled to pull both attachments.

What a great little train. Super impressed with it for the price and my son has had hours of fun with it already. The track is generous, you can make a good size track with it and the model itself is very well painted and detailed. It doesn’t look cheap at all, it’s only when you pick it up that you become aware it’s light plastic. The train is easy to set up as is the track, we had it ready to play with in 10. Battery compartment easy to negotiate also. All in all a pretty great buy.

My son loved me

After researching the train sets and reading reviews I decided to go with this one as it had the best reviews, even better than the Hornby sets.My five year old was over the the moon when he received this for his birthday and has played with it the most out all his gifts, even his new Nintendo DS!It's plastic but so are the Hornby sets for triple the price!it's excellent for the money! Runs on aa batteries and the sounds are great. Such a good buy.
