Black Telephone Pickup Coil With A Sensitive Microphone Mounted To A Suction and Connected To A Lead Terminated With A 3.5mm Mono Jack Plug

I bought this product as a device for Paranormal Investigations and so far its been very useful in providing me with audible evidence. Briefly, this device picks up sound from any objects emitting electro magnetic power. The electro magnetic theory of the paranormal is that supposedly a ghost/spirit gives off an electro magnetic field which can be detected by Electro Magnetic Field meters (EMF). Nearly everything in nature, both alive and inanimate, emit an electromagnetic field. And many man-made devices emit a very strong electromagnetic field such as electrical outlets and fuse boxes, computers, electrical wiring, television sets, air conditioning units, appliances and much more. Most of these electrical sources will give off high EMF readings as part of their normal operation. But, rather than spend pounds on an EMF reader, this device plugged into a digital Dictaphone and the investigator using headphones, can actually hear and record sounds received through the device. So to sum up...a ghost/spirit manifests or passes by your pickup coil, it will pick up the electro magnetic power from it in the form of sound. Great device to add to any paranormal investigators kitbag with amazing results.

this mic is designed to stick to the ear part of a classic bone on cradle phone landline.of the sort popular from candle stick up to trim phones , does NOT work on cordless and mobile cell phones as it uses the magnet in the ear section to work the mic. this is the sort of tech used in movies from 60s to 90s for the police etc to record ransoms etc. works okay but be awaere its an induction mic NOT a sonic mic and as such is useless for all but wired telephones.

This pickup coil is branded "Eagle" and it certainly soars in value. My previous attempt at phone recording included a little box that connected directly via the incoming phone line RJ11 sockets and also required a USB power line. Unsucessful with both my phones. Fortunately, I have a Sony IC Recorder (left in picture) bought over 10 years ago but still having the features of current models at a much lower cost than they are now. The recorder mike input matches the pickup output very well and suction is helped by the back of the (Geemarc) handset being much flatter that the usual BT ones. I ran the pickup cable down the middle of the coiled handset cable and attached it to the back of the handset with Gorilla tape.

Does NOT WORK with Zoom H1n, H2n or H5: Tested with various cables & phantom power on & off. This mic' relies on being directly connected via it's suction cup to the surface of the phone or other vibrations you want to record. But there appears to be no gain, lack of sensitivity, & I was unable to raise any recordable signal on the above recorders. The connector is a 3.5mm dual pole which may be some of the problem I am having. But I have tried a whole range of accessory adaptor cables I have without success. So it may be very good with different recorders, but it certainly does not work with the above, thanks.

Just received this item which was promptly delivered and securely packed and which works a treat. For this small amount of money I was prepared to take a chance - but it works just fine. I can hear the caller and myself as clearly as need be for the purposes of recording a telephone conversation. If used with the personal voice recorder I also bought from Amazon (see my review) you can record a conversation and transfer it to the computer and email it to wherever it's required. Excellent. Recommended.

Connected to a Sony ICD-PX312 and attached to the ear piece of my Cisco 7911 desk phone produces very loud static and interference from any mobile phone within 10 feet of the cable. I should state that the Sony ICD-PX312 is designed to operate without capturing mobile phone interference. I may have well as held a cat next to the handset and relied on him to take notes for me; this item is completely unfit for purpose and if it not for the very low price and hassle of returning I would do so. Please, for the sake of a couple of quid steer clear of this junk item.

For such an inexpensive piece of kit I was surprised that this item worked so well. The sucker attached to the handset of my phone and stayed there until I chose to remove it. Even though I used a cheap digital recorder the sound quality was excellent with both sides of the conversation being recorded clearly and without interference.

Worked really well when I tried it with my Galaxy Samsung & voice recorder. Make sure you turn the volume down on your radio/ television as it seemed to pivk up the sound on my test.

fonctionne si bien, que j'en ais acheté deux, de peur de ne plus en trouver, je les utilise pour trouver des pannes sur des circuits électroniques par exemple (alimentations, recharges à inductions, etc etc)... très pratique également pour des bonnes prises de sons sur HP, ou induction. vraiment, je recommande se genre de produit aux bricoleurs, très utile.
