Stale & hard
Not soft & chewy at all. Expiration date was Aug 2026. It would be a brick by then. Although a Prome item, it is not returnable. More than $14 wasted on a 7 oz bar. I could have sworn the reviews were much better when I looked. Wish I had double checked myself.

Little amount of candy for the price! Not cool!
This nougat candy tastes very good. However, is it worth the price for the amount you get, NO! The packaging was also very nice, but I would have rather received more of the candy (as a consumer) than pay for packaging! I am disappointed that company would charge so much for 2 pieces of candy! More product and less box visual would have surficed! Maybe you could have gotten 5 stars!

Want to buy the stuff in the pictures above?
Yeah, you're not going to get that, it's not laser cut with glassy highlights. But who cares once you take a bite? What you will get is some really good nougat with lots of nuts, it's fine, I liked it.

Unpleasant texture
Too soft and sticky for me. I've had other torrone with a dryer, harder texture that was described as "soft." That stuff was much more enjoyable. This stuff is not worth the calories. Here, I was misled by the use of the word "brittle" in the description. Brittle it is not.

Uuuuhhh, no. Very disappointed.
Ok, probably I am one innocent buyer who falls for good reviews and buys the great reviewed things, trusting the reviews on products here are true, but oh, how much I can’t stand myself for giving reviewers a vote of trust. So, I have family in Italy, have my Nona and mom who cooks and bakes wonderfully and I have to say, these Californian torrones are VERY stale, the nuts taste rancid and just by cutting a piece of it I already knew they were old, it as almost impossible to cut and to chew it a maxillary torture. The nougat is over the top sweet and zero orange/citrus flavor, and again, the nuts are rancid. The only good things I can say about these 2 boxes : the boxes are cute and the torrones are indeed loaded with nuts. That is all I have to say about it and cry a little because I was so looking forward to try a domestic torrone. Stick to really made in Italy torrones, friends!

Delicious!
I have never had nougat before. I honestly bought this because my kid watches Costume Quest, a cartoon where monsters want to eat nougat. But this stuff is delicious! It has a firm, but chewy texture. It has a wonderful honey flavor and the nuts are great! I love it!
