There is nothing more annoying when you have a cat, that likes to help you with the jigsaw, when you're not around. So this puzzle board has been a life saver. When the jigsaw is not in use, I simply cover it with the cardboard lid and place a couple of heavy items on top to stop our cat from playing with it.I've used this with both 1000 piece Gibson and Ravensburger jigsaw puzzles and both fit the board perfectly. The velveteen type covering keeps the jigsaw pieces in place.Although quite large, it's easy to store when not in use: under a sofa, under a bed or on top of a wardrobe and the cardboard covering keeps any dust at bay.Just make sure you have a table of adequate size to accommodate the puzzle board when in use.A brilliant gift idea for the keen jigsaw puzzler.

This board is the second one I have bought and it is definitely a board I would recommend for all you puzzlers out there.It’s value for money. The felt top means the puzzle doesn’t slide around like it does on a wooden board. The raised edges means no dropping off the sides if someone tilts the board and the cushioned base means you can have it on your lap and still be comfortable!I think it’s a great product.

My wife and i enjoy making puzzles and we have a save a puzzle that you can zip shut like a very large briefcase, the only problem it is heavy, and if you can imagine 2 Puzzle boards of this review joined in the middle so you can fold it in half, then you see the problem.This is ideal as it is lighter than the other board and has a raised edge.I found that the puzzle did slide a little and the edge could of been a little more defined to stop the puzzle going over the edge.The only other drawback with this board is, that once you have started a puzzle you have to have somewhere to lay it flat that wont be vulnerable to someone walking past and knocking it flying.Still a very good puzzle board and at a reasonable price.

I have found the Gibsons puzzle board absolutely great. I have severe arthritis and after using 4 other boards I had to give up before trying this one. It’s so lightweight and sits comfortably on my knees. The price was the cheapest..from £57-£26Thanks for letting me get my hobby back.

I know you could use a bit of wood, cardboard etc, but I have really found this to be really handy. I bought it after reading reviews of the roll-up ones which said that some of the cheaper ones were just a bit of felt round a tube. I don't do jigsaws too often as I get too engrossed and lose all my social skills, but to me this was worth the price, even for occasional use. This is good quality and ideal for slipping under the settee. It is possible to use it on your knee as long as you keep the loose pieces on the felt. I don't think it would take any bigger than 1000 piece jigsaws.

The board is lovely, well made but it is not as advertised it is too small for 1000 piece puzzle it hangs over the raised edges I checked the size of this puzzle I’m doing and it is exactly the same size as a Gibson puzzle, very disappointing, wasted money again and can’t send it back as I ripped the box up …

After seeing my mother struggling with working on even a 500 piece puzzle we bought this for her and she's now able to move the puzzle when being worked on without fear of pieces sliding out of position.The board is nicely made,has a rim around the sides and bottom edge and a non-slip surface so everything stays in place even if the board is jogged. She's delighted with it as it means she can concentrate on her puzzle and if the phone rings and makes her jump everything stays put instead of slipping onto the floor.Like all the best tools, simple but effective.

The board is a pleasure to use, bright and colourful with a soft texture. The edge is slightly bevelled rather than an upstand edge, which means an odd sized puzzle can slightly overlap if needed. Bought as a present and recipient loves it.

Sehr gut verarbeitet, kam auch sehr gut verpackt an. Habe 2 Stück bestellt, bisher haben mein Mann und ich auf dem Esstisch gepuzzelt und hatten unsere Puzzles auf Pappplatten zwecks Hin- und Herräumen. Das war natürlich eine wackelige Angelegenheit. Mit diesen tollen Boards verrutscht nichts mehr beim Transport in ein anderes Zimmer , prima! Katzen haben wir auch, aber dann werden die Boards eben oben abgedeckt. Wir sind begeistert!

Nice size, good quality. Does the job, and stores easily under sofa, loveseat or armchair.

The board is nice and has a good cover and is stable. Unfortunately it is advertised as up to 1000 puzzle pieces. I bought it specifically for a 1000 piece puzzle and it is no where near big enough. The box does give a size, but the over riding thing you see is will fit up to 1000 piece puzzles, so check the size of your puzzles.
