Our German Shepherd rightfully gives everyone who enters her home - be it her literal home or our camping home, the rights to her area. I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with, is excessive barking as it's totally unnecessary and very annoying. First time I used it, she stopped barking immediately, after she settled, she decided to continue barking at our visitor. Another press of the button and again it stopped her in her in her tracks immediately.. She then settled completely after two presses. The hardest part now is finding the balance, that fine line between - ok you've a right to protect your area but stopping her unnecessary barking... remembering there's a difference between the it's ok vs not ok to bark I personally love her guarding abilities just need to tweak and learn as her owner, how to allow her to bark when needed, so she remains protective, but not reading the riot act as full on... DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IF YOU'RE LIVING WITH A BARKER....

For large, stubborn breeds, consistency is everything when it comes to training, and this device delivers that. My only real gripe is the lack of an on/off switch, which makes it easy to accidentally activate in your pocket or bag. A simple lock or power toggle would make this a truly perfect tool. Minor annoyance, but worth knowing going in. Highly recommend, especially if you've been disappointed by other ultrasonic trainers or are looking for a humane alternative to shock-based correction. This one's the real deal.

We tried a No bark collar but it agitated our dog and he kept trying to shake it off. This little device works 100% of the time. We tell our dog “quiet” as soon as we use it then reward him with lots of praise. Now, most of the time, just saying the word “quiet” stops him in his tracks. We’ve only been using it a couple of days and I think he will be broken of the barking habit soon. I would recommend this device to anyone trying to break their dog of barking or any other bad habits.
