L'Oreal Paris Moisturising Cream Hydra Genius Aloe Water - Sensitive, 70ml

I'm really happy with this moisturiser and I honestly didn't expect to be! I've been using the body shop Aloe range for nearly 2 years, I have very dry but sensitive skin and honestly anything from a brand like this usually does NOTHING for my skin. I had run out of my old favourite and the price was a bit much for how often I was running out. So I figured why not give this a go? For £5 it was worth a try. I've been pleasantly surprised, my skin feels lovely and smooth, there are no dry patches and it feels very hydrated! The smell is lovely, not perfumed or heavy. And it doesn't linger on your face like some do! I love the gel over cream, great choice for me as I hate heavy feeling creams that are greasy (though admittedly they are usually better for your skin) so this gel like one is perfect! It soaks in fast, feels sleek and water based. I get no tacky feeling after and can apply make up within a few minutes. 1 pump as well, a tiny amount, and believe me it goes a long way! I think this will last me quite a while, so points for longevity. I use 1 for my face and 1 for my neck because I like to be extra hydrated, and allow it to soak in. If you have sensitive dry skin this has been fantastic for me, very happy with my purchase and when it eventually runs out (I've barely made a dent!) I will certainly be buying another.

Ok, I think this is my holy grail of moisturiser. Let me explain... for the last 10/15 years I’ve used olay. I’ve used differing olay products but always olay. Throughout winter my skin plays up, I get small dry patches on my cheeks and upper lip/around my nose. (combination dry skin) I never switched from olay as I just thought it’s just the time of year/my skin. However, running out of my usual moisturiser during lockdown and amazon not being able to deliver any of my usual products I took a chance on this. It came the next day and at first, I was unsure. It was watery, the scent was stronger than I was used to and I was convinced it would break me out or I’d react. I was so wrong!! This stuff is amazing. Overnight it cleared my dry patches left from the end of winter and my skin is loving this. I’ve been using it twice a day for almost 3 weeks and the difference in my skin is clear to see. Makeup glides over the top. This moisturiser sinks straight in to your skin the scent is actually really nice. I use a pump and a half and it’s enough to make my face feel fully moisturised. I will not be going back to olay, well not through spring summer anyway, interested to see how it fares on my winter skin!

i have very dry skin in my t-zone, and have issues with acne on the outer sides of my face. i was looking for a cheaper moisturiser for throughout the day before applying sun cream, as i usually use clinique moisture surge. i love moisture surge (and i've been using it for 5 years now). however, it's sooo expensive if i'm using more of it before applying retinol for my acne - and not just like before when i would only use it before putting on foundation. this moisturiser honestly was so much better than i was expecting. i personally have not had any irritation from it, my skin stays moisturised and it glides on easily. i really don't like cerave moisturisers as they feel so heavy and sticky, but this moisturiser has similar ingredients and is so much nicer on my skin, (for me). i know everyone is different, but if you have similar skin to mine and like clinique moisturiser, i would give this one a try. it's not the same, but it's the first one i feel is a good, cheaper alternative for when i want to save the clinique for other occasions. it's underrated in my opinion. :) i also like the pump from the bottle, it gives a good, controlled amount of moisturiser. i even like the design, it's nice and summery i feel like. however, i've not used a full bottle yet, so i don't know how it dispenses when it's getting close to the end. i assume if you want to use as much product as you can from the bottle when it's running out, there probably will be a way to open it. EDIT: after using this a bit longer, i don't think this moisturiser is as good as i originally thought. i had used it with other products at the time, and when used on it's own, i find my face dry after about 20 minutes. i really wanted to like it and thought it was really good, but to me it's not sufficient as i have very dry skin. however, i think it would be great for someone with normal/oily skin!

So as a teenager/young adult, I always struggled with ‘mild’ eczema which meant my skin was always dry but thankfully spot free. I’m now 30 and dealing with menstrural issues, aging etc that made me pay more attention to my skincare regime due to breakouts. Every moisturiser, cleanser I have purchased (from cheaper, non-fragranced options to expensive Clarins products and everything in between) never did the job and either created a reaction due to the sensitivity of my skin or left me with itchy dry skin at night and prevented full and flake-free coverage from foundation during the day. This ‘moisturiser’, combined with a standard facial cleansing routine before bed (I.e. eye makeup remover, Simple cleanser and toner followed by a quick once over with this has drastically improved the look and feel of my skin post-cleanse and one pump in the morning, applied all over my face, is the perfect hydrating primer for my daily makeup. I am pretty low maintenance but, when I reached 30, went out and bought a whole bunch of more expensive serums and moisturisers but nothing has had the same effect as this product. Smells fresh, light and fragrant too! 100% recommended.

I've been browsing online for a cheaper alternative to my favourite moisturiser (Kiko Milano Hydrashot Rapid Hydration), and after reading some really helpful, positive reviews on here, I took a leap of faith and decided to opt for this one. Upon initial inspection, I instantly loved the glass bottle and the pump mechanism- you get quite a lot of product for the price, so it's great value for money and I think it will last for a good while. The moisturiser itself feels instantly cooling and refreshing on my skin, (great in this hot weather!). The surge of moisture creates a similar revitalising sensation as my Kiko face cream, although the L'Oreal cream feels a bit more wet and sticky. That doesn't matter though, as roughly 3 minutes later, my skin had absorbed all of the cream leaving it feeling smooth, plump and refreshed. I've even found that I don't need to use a primer when I've used this, as it leaves my skin so smooth, creating an ideal base for my foundation. So this L'Oreal moisturiser is quite a close dupe to my favourite Kiko Milano water based cream, the main difference being that it takes slightly longer to absorb. I reckon in a few weeks time, my favourite face cream will be replaced by this cheaper, just as good alternative.

I only received this yesterday and couldn’t wait to try it so used straight away and then immediately put on my make up. All I can say is wow! First off the bottle is lovely, it’s a good size and a nice weight, it feels more expensive than it is. The smell is gorgeous, it’s so fresh and light. You only need a small amount for your whole face it covers well. I’ve had a problem with dry patches of skin for a while and use liz Earle cleanse and polish followed by the toner and moisturiser. I love liz Earle moisturiser but still find I have dry patches when I put on my foundation, it was driving me mad and my make up looked patchy and flaky. However, although ive only used this once my make up went on lovely, no patches or flakes and for the first time in ages my face looked smooth and even, even my other half noticed. I Will keep using daily and keep my fingers crossed that it continues to have the same effect.

When I got the L'Oreal Retinol Serum it included three sachets of this Hydra Genius to try out and I have to say I was immediately converted to it After using lots of other moisturisers this one is so light. It’s more like using a serum I generally suffer with breakouts when using most moisturisers but so far I’ve had no breakouts at all You need so little of the product to get a great coverage so this will last a very long time so I also think it represents great value for money That has got a lovely texture to it and is quite soothing when you apply it and it seems to sink in almost immediately and leaves your skin lovely and soft I only use it at nightime after a retinol serum This is now my goto moisturiser after trying loads of others but I will update this review if anything changes
