Perfect Interface for Guitar & iOS
I’ve been using the iRig HD 2 for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. The sound quality is clear, low-noise, and professional — whether I’m recording on my computer (Logic Pro, Cubase) or jamming on my iPad with AmpliTube. One of the best features is the dedicated headphone output, which makes it easy to practice silently without compromising tone. Setup was super easy: just plug it in, install the drivers, and it’s ready to go. The build feels solid and durable enough to carry around, and the included accessories make it very versatile. 👉 Bottom line: If you’re looking for a compact, mobile solution for guitar or bass, the iRig HD 2 is an excellent choice.

Works with iPhone 7 Plus with Right Adapter
Really impressed with this device - there are loads of reviews taking about it's features. This review is to help anyone using an iPhone 7. If you're having trouble with this working, hopefully this review will help as it's an amazing bit of kit when it works. Bought one of these a couple of years ago and sent it straight back. I was using with an android phone and the lag made it unusable. As far as I know most Android phones don't have the audio chips to process the sound in real time. After a bit of research I bought another and tried it with an old iPhone 7 plus. Works really well, but only with a Belkin lightning audio and charge adapter (£30). Ive tried with a cheap lightning-headphone adapter (£5) claiming to be Apple certified, got no output at all. Other adapters may work. Agree with all the other positive reviews on the capabilities with Amplitude and Tonebridge. Fantastic. I used Lekato wireless system between guitar and irig, then Sony analogue wireless headphones MDR-rf865R (ebay). Overall lag isn't noticeable for practicing competely wire free.

Great piece of kit, does a brilliant job, but works much better on iOS than android
Bought this as a birthday present for my brother. Great piece of kit for low maintenance and setting up jamming, or even recording. Good sound quality and can now output straight to an amp as well letting you use the great fx you can buy to go with it. The amp sounds available are also good with nice editing ability. And all at a good price! The only negative I can see is that although I say the sound quality is great, there are some slight issues with android set ups. There are other types of this product available and having went between android and iOS when using it with my brother, I'd tend to recommend this one for iOS, but another brand for android.

No need for an amp with this amazing piece of technology
I got a chance to unbox, test and experience some of the new improvements and features of the iRig HD 2, which built on past iRig releases. Highlighting these improvements are: • 24-bit/96kHZ audio quality • Integrated headphone output with level control • Amp out jack (with switchable output) • Comes with AmpliTube 4 software. IK Multimedia specializes in mobile music production devices, focusing specifically on guitar interfaces in conjunction with its popular AmpliTube 4 amp modeling and effects software. So, how does a device like the iRig HD 2 benefit you? Primarily, the iRig HD 2 interface allows you to use mobile amp modeling and effects processing applications to play guitar more freely, with or without a full rig. Its most significant benefit, that I can now vouch for (more on that below) is its portability. The iRig HD 2 interface essentially routes your signal through one of either a phone, tablet or computer, allowing you to use any of those devices as a fully functional amp modeler. You can then use AmpliTube 4, or other DAWs like GarageBand and Audacity, to run amp models and effects or even to record and produce your own music. In fact, any software that can recognize and hear external audio should be compatible. An additional benefit (that I overlooked before trying the iRig HD 2) is that the small interface lets you plug in and play nearly anywhere

Overall I am very happy with the iRig HD 2 and consider it a ...
Purchased to replace an ageing Line 6 Gear Box Guitar Port GX that theoretically is not compatible with Windows 10 but has been working under Windows 10 for ages. The Line 6 Gear Box Guitar Port GX not being AISO compatible and having low audio output has started to become more of a nuisance to use lately and so I reluctantly started to look around again for a replacement. I settled on the iRig HD 2 after reading several reviews. The iRig HD 2 arrived well packed and after reading the installation manual several times, not really necessary but I was looking for possible problems of which there were basically none for a normal installation, I installed the iRig HD 2 onto my Windows 10 PC. I had hoped that an analog audio lead would not be required but unfortunately for me it was. Also a download and installation of AISO4ALL is required, this is normal, so that sound from the iRig HD 2 can be played back through the normal PC speakers. iRig HD 2 comes with a licence and download facility for Amplitube 4, the software to use with your guitar/bass. After much fiddling with the audio settings I eventually got the iRig HD 2 working with sound coming out of my PC speakers. Most people shouldn't have an issue with this but I know from experience my equipment can be fussy. With Amplitube 4 running I was again able to play along to my backing tracks, the output from the iRig HD 2 being loud enough that the input to my audio on my PC could be set to LINE instead of MICROPHONE, meaning less background noise, in fact now I actually have to turn down the volume for my bass guitar so that I don't overpower the backing tracks. Previously with the Line 6 Gear Box Guitar Port GX I had to turn down the volume for the backing tracks to be heard. Be aware that Amplitube 4 comes with a basic set of simulations for amps, speaker cabinets, pedals, rooms & mics and these are not as limiting as you might think, more can be purchased if you require. Using the basic set I was able to get a reasonable sound for my bass guitar. Overall I am very happy with the iRig HD 2 and consider it a worthy replacement for my Line 6 Gear Box Guitar Port GX so if you are looking for a way of connecting you guitar / bass to your PC I would recommend the iRig HD 2.

clever produt
this is a clever little gadget to stream live on social media. i have successfully telecasted the live with top clarity. loads of comments received for the sound output and I was absolutely thrilled. i was bit sceptical about this product as my trails were not good. i explored on youtube and watched several videos as the instructions included are pretty poor. my first trial had severe distortion, but a youtube video saved me. make sure you use stereo adaptors only. do not use mono as it may lead to poor sound quality. i have used various other equipment for live and so for the most cost-effective way is this tiny little gadget. lack of some led lights is a minus as there is no way you know if the unit is actually working or not.

It works, adjust volume and gain to avoid gigantic feedback
So, I just received my iRig 2 this morning. It works with my early 2015 MacBook pro (10.12.6 macOs Sierra). The biggest problem is the feedback which needs to be controlled via my laptop volume and gain settings on Amplitube. Other than the super annoying feedback if one's not careful? It is basically plug-and-play, I did not notice any input lag which is a plus, the free version gives a lot of guitar effects and various amps to play around. Until I get back to a comfortable level of guitar playing (last time I played was over a year or even two ago) I will stick to iRig 2, then, I will look into something more serious. Good product, nothing outstanding, it does feel flimst and cheap, so I will need to be a little bit more careful with it.

Brilliant for use with Tonebridge
This has been absolutely brilliant for me. I couldn't get my original iRig to work with the amazing free Tonebridge app, but this upgraded version not only works, but brings additional functionality. I can now plug my electric ukulele in to headphones or my little amp and make it sound like I'm playing electric guitar! I previously bought a Laney mini amp which had direct Tonebridge connectivity, but all I got was a terrible buzzing, horrendous feedback and poor control over volume. The iRig2 has solved all those issues, works flawlessley and is half the price. If you want to use Tonebridge, don't buy Laney, buy this!
