Johnsons 4Fleas Tablets for Cats and Kittens, 6 Treatment Pack, 14D083

I use this regularly. This works so well, for my 2 year old black tabby (also used this on my older cat, now passed, nothing to do with using any products). My gorgeous, friendly young madam, is prone to getting fleas, at this time of year. 1 crushed tablet in her wet food works wonders. By the end of the day & next day, no fleas, no itching, no scratching & she's been outside most of the day. I've ran a flea comb through her & nothing, just a bit of flea dirt. I also spray the floors of my house with Ultra Power Household Pest Killer, unsure if you can buy this on Amazon, but I buy from a local retailer. Leave for 30 mins till dry then air the rooms. Swear by this product, kills everything, in the home.

Always thought negatively about these type of fleas treatments, didn’t think they’d work at all. I use frontline every month for years but it stopped working. My male and female cat decidied to start a family, had kittens so then there was 7 cats in my house. The kittens were born 2 weeks after my son. So 5 newborn kittens and a newborn baby . Then we have a heatwave and the fleas went into overdrive. Horrendous with a baby. Researched far too much into what to do (late night feeds will do this to ya) tried these and ordered all kinds but omg they are the most effective flea stopper I’ve ever used. This with a decent spot on and a house spray. Fleas. Completed it mate. The kittens went mental for about 40 mins and managed to blow the fuse box my house, broke a vase, climbed the curtains and spill the litter tray over, but it was not for very long. After a few hours I combed them, there was hardly any on them, and any there were dead. I then put the kittens into every room for a bit to attract the fleas out. Then I use a spray for the larvae. This isn’t the answer to flea probs but it’s the first response and it’s unbelievably effective.

I only give 1 tablet when my 2 cats go out, and I see them scratching. It does exactly what it says: it gets rid of fleas in less than 15 minutes and keeps them away for a long time. A box of 6 tablets lasts me between 3 and 4 months, sometimes more. It is so good that I even bought Johnson for my dog, and it works just as well on him. Effectiveness. Highly recommend. Value for money.

I have a young (10 months old) cat and she developed a flea problem. I had seen similar pills on the net so I thought I would try these. My cat weighs around 4kg. I gave her a whole tablet crushed into some food which she ate easily, then drank quite a bit of water.Within a few minutes she started to look a bit lethargic and lay down , her pupils dilated so she looked like puss in boots off Shrek with the massive eyes. I wanted to keep an eye on her so all doors were closed. After about 10 minutes she went a bit hyper, running around, lying down for a few seconds then running around again.She then started scratching profusely, looking almost confused as to where to attack next. You could see the fleas coming off her, rising to the surface off her fur as they tried to escape. As the fleas fell they could no longer jump, they walked around in a daze slowly dying. She started panting and became very loving, climbing up my back and lying around my neck, with these fleas still coming off her. After a few minutes I took her from my neck and there were about 10 dying fleas on my T shirt. (I'm now itching as I write this) . We kept coming her until eventually we couldn't find any . We fed her the tablet at 6, we gave up combing around 9.30. Her pupils were still dilated the day after and it was probably another day before she returned to her normal self. The panting and erratic behaviour is scary, there's no doubt, but to get around 60 fleas off her it was worth it. Bear in mind we had never seen a flea on her, I was shocked at how many there were. The tablet worked brilliantly but I think I would only give her half next time, (comments on here say 1mg per kilo, tablet is 11mg or so ) even if it meant repeating the dose the day after . My cat had a flea collar on and spot on treatment. The spot on stuff I used was made by a company called Armitage, it obviously offered no protection. My cat now has Advantage spot on treatment and after combing her we found no fleas a week later. I have a cat that barely scratches and appears completely free of fleas....... unfortunately I am still itching from writing this

Long story short, we have two cats and one of them had managed to pick up fleas and pass them to the other. Luckily it was detected early so no flea infestation in the home. I kept pulling a few fleas each day out of their fur using the fleas comb but we needed a solution. I had never heard of this medication before and vets always want to charge £50 for flea treatment… So how affective could a £7 packet of tablets be? Well, the answer is VERY. I ground up a tablet (right or wrong it’s the only way I can get them to eat it) in a creamy cat treat and within half an hour, exactly as claimed I saw things happening. As they state will be the case; The cat started scratching a lot more which is apparently due to the fleas becoming poisoned and wriggling around. Shortly after that, for the first time ever, I saw two fleas right at the surface of the cat’s fur, just sitting there. Fleas stay right near the skin where they are protected and can feed, so they were obviously wandering around as the ‘poison’ kicked in. A day later and for the first time I’m not getting any fleas off of either cat with the fleas comb. Touch wood, they seem to be gone and neither cat has been scratching since. This is an incredibly effective treatment, vastly better than expensive nonsense like Frontline (just impossible to apply well enough to be effective) and at a very reasonable price… It’s actually a really nice change to buy treatment for an animal which works exactly as claimed and I don’t feel ripped off. A combination of diatomaceous earth as a preventative and these tablets as a quick solution if fleas appear is cheap and extremely effective. Brush your cat every couple of days with a flea comb to ensure you catch any fleas early, and have a packet of these on hand… Total peace of mind.

This is the only thing that gets rid of the fleas on our 2 cats. We have been using Advantage spot on, but both cats were scratching like mad. The tablets work quickly, so both cats were comfortable and not scratching. I wish it lasted longer than it does.

Not very effective

I've tried a few products to get rid of the fleas but nothing worked ,even the treatment I got from the vets. I was almost giving up hope when I saw the reviews on this product . I thought let me give it a try even though it was doubtful it would work . Well , within minutes of giving it to my cats the fleas were falling off . This is the best one I've come across so far. My babies can rest in peace at last.
