Bought this in the lightening deal. Did you ever buy something and wonder why!? Well I was a bit like this........ this was a pack of 6!! I needed have worried I have found lots of thing to do with it. I added it to my breakfast millet porridge to my smoothies and baking and gave my son 3 jars he uses this in his protein shakes he loves it! I also take a teaspoon with apple cider vinegar (with Mother) and drink it as it has a lot of health benefits good for skin, bones and rich in Iron. This is a good quality blackstrap molasses its rich in taste, thick and runny at the same time. I will continue to use this as it has become a very nice addition to my daily routine.

Lovely product. Arrived on time and good value for money. Started taking it to help with heavy and painfull monthlies and has helped tremendously. Normally I take 1 tablespoon in a mug of hot water in the mornings. However, just before and during my menzies, I bump that up to 1 tablespoon twice daily. No cramping, flow is lighter. Also seems great for keeping your hair from greying, I've noticed, which is fab as we grey early in my family. No new greys since taking this. I still have three. Have noticed a few dark coppery or bronzey strands which I assume are the would-be greys. Can take a while to kick in, so stick with it for a while. A great supplement on own or pair with wheatgrass for fantastic added benefits.

After reading about the health benefits I couldn't wait to try this - buying in bulk (pack of 6) worked out cheaper and I'd decided to take some everyday whether it tasted nice or not - luckily for me I like the taste - the only way I can describe it is that it tastes very much like liquorice but not exactly. It's thick but not quite as thick as golden syrup, it pours a little easier but that could just be this batch - the next one could be thicker, each batch is different.So far I've made peanut butter flapjacks, or blackjacks as I've been calling them, next I plan to make gingerbread cookies and also try it as a hot drink.Dying to know if it works to reverse grey hair, either way I don't think it's good for teeth though.Already I'm craving it after eating it yesterday.It's a good source of minerals, calcium etc which is great as I don't eat dairy.I had some crazy dreams last night which is probably down to the B vitamins.

Even though its almost pure sugar, this is inredibly rich and slightly bitter in taste. It tastes absolutely incredible in small amounts but absolutely cant be simply substituted for sugar, honey or golden syrup since it is nowhere near as sweet on the palate. It almost has the same kind of richness and depth of an incredibly strong espresso or BBQ sauce. In the right recipe, it can be used similar to treacle to add a depth and richness but use in small amounts only.

It arrived very quickly and intact. I have used it on and off for years. Product excellent quality. Would order from this firm again.

The uses for this product are endless. The fact that it's fair trade and organic are what prompted me to buy it initially but it's now part of our family's life style. Absolutely delicious without the sickly cloying aftertaste of other sweeter products. Its health benefits are too numerous to mention. A neighbour's stubborn cough was cured by sipping this in hot water - even after courses of antibiotics, cough linctuses etc. had failed. His doctor was impressed and said he remembered his gran using it but didn't know you could still buy it!! Medical professionals - who needs them! For teenagers with troublesome spots a spoonful of this works wonders!

I bought this product after rave reviews about the many benefits of Blackstrap molasses. I am sure this is not to be disputed. I looked for organic un-sulphured and this product popped.I took the leap and ordered 6 as one jar + shipping and handling will cost nearly £5.The order arrived safely and very well packaged. However, the quality of the molasses was not that good. It was very thick, pasty, and granulated rather than being syrupy dense.It does not dissolve properly, even when it is heated a bit in the microwave, and is very hard to spread. It sticks like dead cement.I contacted Meridian and the technical team asked for the batch no which was provided. Their reply was that this batch has nothing wrong with it and described it as follows: "good pouring consistency, smooth". Totally the opposite of what I have received.The jars in hand are not smooth, with no pouring consistency, and densely granulated.Accordingly, the 6 jars will go in the bin; however, lesson learned. I will avoid in future any products labelled Meridian simply because: 1/ lack of consistency in quality; 2/ Meridian's customer services and satisfactions seems to be non-existent ; 3/ people in charge of answering customers' queries/problems are not able to address a problem in hand but they can take the liberty to include in their reply email their participation in a charity race and ask for sponsorships.The customer service that replied to my email, instead of offering at the very least an apology for the quality that I have received, she has included a link for her sponsorship in a race. I find this not only inappropriate but can be seen as a spam and totally against the data protection act that a company uses clients emails and contacts for their personal use.

I ordered a pack of 6 Meridian Molasses jars and when I received it, was rather dismayed to discover that one of the jars had broken; upon contacting Amazon, however, the lady I spoke to was very friendly and helpful and immediately sent out a replacement pack at no extra charge. Luckily for me it's good stuff, as I now have 6 nice clean jars, and a further 5 somewhat sticky ones!I'm especially pleased that Meridian have managed to offer a reasonably priced item which is both Fairtrade and organic. Kudos to Amazon and to Meridian.
