I purchased this to pump my Btwin Triban 520 road bike tyres, which have Presta valves and and MTB with Schrader, and it worked perfectly, first try. Just put the Presta valve hole over the Presta valve, pushed it down slightly, moved the handle toggle up (it did require slight force) but that let me know that air won't escape. Then I just pumped easy to 100psi but it goes higher. The gauge is accurate. There is no fiddly attachments to switch from Schrader to Presta and vice versa, which is a bonus. My previous pump was a blackburn piston 1 and it had too many fiddly bits and didn't last even 1 year. This should work for mountain bikes, hybrid bikes and other vehicles that have Presta or Schrader valves. Amazon prime was fast as usual, next day delivery.

I’ve recently bought myself a new mountain bike and also bought my wife one for her to try, as I’m sure the rest of the uk have during lockdown as everything is out of stock.Anyway I used to just use a normal hand pump about the size of a woman’s vibrator which wasn’t so good when you were needing to pump allot of air as it got too hot to handle.This big pump arrived yesterday and I just gave it a go, set all the pressures on mine, my wife’s and sons bike. They have normal valves where as my mountain bike has the presta ones so I had a good go at trying both.This was a breeze and so glad I bought it instead of using the small vibrator one, one of them things I wish I had bought years ago.As for the old one, I will give it to my wife and see if she can find a use for it :-)

This is a great pump, it handles the high pressures well. However, it has lost two stars because the pressure guage does not work. It reaches 70psi and goes no further so beyond 70psi I have to keep thumb testing the tyre as I increase the pressure, otherwise the tube will blow. This type of pressure guage is one that I have come across at least twicw in recent years and they always fail. One good thing about this pump is that I have now used it three times and the tube is still attached, unlike the foot pumps and hand pumps that I have been buying only to throw away. Had the pressure guage have worked, I would not have hesitated to give this product a 5* rating but a faulty pressure guage is too important to only lose one star as it can make ones cycle quite dangerous if the tyres are overinflated, especially when the tyre pressure is supposed to be between 100psi and 110psi. I may have got a one off, faulty guage but as it is identical to other guages that also have been useless, I doubt it. If you have a seperate pressure guage, that works and only require a pump, I do recommend this as it inflates tyres to high pressure with such ease and only a few short pumps. It's a great pump but is let down by not being able to check wether your tyre is about to pop or not.

I've been using this track pump since April before posting this review. . .After pumping bike tyres up with your bog standard bike pump for the last 40 years I thought it was time to get myself a proper bike pump! After much looking at loads of pumps I thought I'd give this one a go afetr reading all the great reviews!I'll just jump straight in from the get go and say that this is a brilliant bike pump and hands down beats anything that I have used in the past.Build quality is excellent - the stand is solid with dimples for a better grip - it won't slip out from under your feet. The handles are foam rubber coated giving a great hand grip plus making it easy on the wrists if you have a few bikes to pump up. The pump tubing is alloy metal and solid in the hand and the flexible rubber inflator tube is thick so should last for years. The inflation valve head is a 2 in 1 that covers both 'Schrader and Presta' valves.The pressure gauge reads from zero upto 160 psi or 11 bar. There is a red marker that you can set so you can keep an eye on what pressure you're putting into your tyre. Both psi and bar measurements are on the gauge.In use . . .Spot on! I've got bikes with both types of valve and have had no issues at all in the last seven months of use. The bike I use most is a fixie with presta valves. I have the marker at the 75 psi mark and my tyres are 80psi max. After pumping up with this they are rock hard. The operation of the valve head is dead easy - just chose your outlet and slip it down onto the tyre valve - press the lever to lock it in place and pump!This thing shifts a lot of air and fast. Your tyres are pumped up in record time with ease. No pumping yourself to death - presssing your tyre - more pumping - press again - few more pumps. Detatch pump - lose half the air - start again! You're knackered before you even get on the damn bike!Brilliant pump - I should have got one years ago.

First problem, the Presta side of the valve block doesnt work at all, nothing, not a sniff, the schraeder side is fine. Had to buy an adaptor fitting to pump presta valves from the schraeder side!Second problem, I dont know what kind of PSI this is reading but its definately not reading correctly, its way too low.Really wishing I had bought my original choice which was somewhat more expensive, this is only slightly useful.

I use it for my MTB tyres and my car tyresThe car tyres are obviously a little more difficult to pump but not too hard,the gauge is VERY acurate.I took my car to ASDAs tyre air machine and the gauge on their machine was soooo out (lucky I checked as the pressure I intended to put in and the actual air that was put in by the air machine was dangerously low)I ended up using this pump to do the job properly.VERY happy with this order,will order again
