Wanted something simple and easy to use on VW UP 2017. Have an iPhone 7 Plus which is heavy for suction and air vent mounts I found. Therefore, tried out this mount. Upon opening it is flimsy and no mount suction underneath. You therefore think it won’t work. Inserting the wedges is a it tricky. I tried it on the flat dashboard surface and over dashboard air vents. I tested it also to see how it coped around corners and roundabouts as well on motorways. I found it to not move at all. You just place it on the dashboard and do not have to put any pressure on it. The iPhone stayed stationary except for once. This was due though to positioning of the wedges and once I changed that it has not seen the iPhone slip out. It really is an excellent mount holder and am very happy with it. It leaves no residue and is very easy to place and take off unlike suction mounts. A bargain and great value dashboard. Can also use it as a holder on your desk or any table.

I bought this product so that I could use my sat nav on my phone in the car without having to have a cradle stuck to my windscreen. After a couple of months of use, I can’t rate it highly enough.You can assemble it according to the size of your phone as it has a variety of options on the base mat as to where to insert the rubber supports. It was a bit fiddly to assemble but not difficult - it took me about 2-3 minutes to put together. The phone fits perfectly and feels very stable when in the holder.It is amazing that this mat when placed on the dashboard does not move at all, even when going round roundabouts and windy roads. With it being a mat, you can place it anywhere on your dashboard so you can get the perfect angle.The price of this is so cheap as well - it is a must buy!

Been using this for years now. Holds my phone as a sat nav. Sits on dash recess and doesn't slide around. Holds phone well. Only issue is, if you have to break hard, your phone will fly into the windscreen.

Works very well with my Samsung s7 in my Citroen c3 Picasso. The blades that hold it in place are fiddly to fit but once in are a firm fit. It goes shiny side down (My wife and I couldn't agree, but the shiny side seems to grip better). I've just notice the photo shows all 4 blades that hold the phone are fitted, ive only fitted one each side but it still is fine. I would suggest this is better suited (based on reading other reviews) that this is better suited to dashboards that are fairly or very flat on top, like Citroen Picasso or vans, or more MPV/4x4. I've not tried it in our Ford Focus but suspect it wouldn't work as well. In my Picasso, it doesn't move at all, despite cornering and breaking. I'd say it is perfect for my car where the instrument cluster sits fairly central, the dash in front of me is flat, it acts like another part of the display (though Id only use it for sat nav). It is easy to store in the car if for any reason you didn't want to leave it on the dash.

Trying to keep a phone on the dash is a nightmare, most products I have tried fail and the phone ends up i your lap whilst driving.This product is amazing for the price. No suction pads that always come away in the sun or metal to stick on your phone just throw in on the dash and drive... Being a skeptic I gave it a bump test in my 4 X 4, tried hard to remove the phone from its position and could not....It holds my S7 edge perfectly.Keep it in the glove compartment when not in use especially on hot sunny days, used similar items before and found they stick to the dash after a time and discolour the dash, however the materials used for this product are of a better quality.The only negative is the foot print it part covers the center speaker on my dash.

Doesn’t hold the phone, which ends up on the car floor. Save yourself some money!

This product works fine if you do not take it off and on the dash board; it then looses its ability to stay firm in position. I didn’t want it in place all of the time.

No more falling phones in the car or mounts that don't stick. If you are looking for a practical phone holder for when you are driving, this is definitely a recommendation. The material is very flexible and durable at the same time. It does not take a lot of space, it has the size of a small booklet. As it is flexible you can easily roll it up. My dashboard is black and the car mount holder that I purchased is also of the same color. So it fits perfectly with the interior of my car. You also have 3 options for the width of the phone holder. You can but your phone in landscape and portrait mode on the holder. But when you put it on landscape position you have double the support. When I first saw the holder I was kind of skeptical about it. I thought that this would easy slide off the dashboard while I was driven. But honestly I am impressed! It didn't move an inch while I was driving - not even when taking heavy turns on the road. The material holds in place on the dashboard as the bottom has a non-slip material. Honestly there is slightly one disturbing thing. That is that you can see when you have not cleaned the interior of your car, because of the visibility of dust on the car mount holder. But I think that it has more to do with my cleaning then the material :). I have used different types of phone holders before, but I am sticking to this one for now. If you spend money on this item, trust me when I say: "Money well spend!".
