Dimplex BRAYFORD 2kW Electric Stove

I look around for a while before deciding on the Dimplex Brayford electric log burner. Looks great and probably the most realistic flame in the range. I also bought the pipe to finish it off. Heats well, and the thermostat works well too. The heater is a little noisy but not too bad as to be a nuisance.

I’m so pleased with my purchase. The stove looks so much better in real life, and the flames look real. I was really surprised at how quickly my living area heated up. And furthermore I was so pleased to hear that the sound is actually just like a humming sound. Not at all loud or intrusive. I can’t express how happy I am with this purchase.

This is our 2nd Brayford electric stove, we bought the same model again as we like it so much. It neat, attractive and quite realistic, and makes the room very cosy. We don’t use the heat very often - the convector is a bit noisy but the heat even on low is very effective. My family (who actually have a real log burner) think it’s lovely , and it’s a great alternative focal point instead of the tv. The price varies so much but Amazon we’re by far the cheapest, and having already had a Brayford I had no qualms about going for the cheapest price. It belies the quality actually. All round great buy.

I bought it mainly for the warm cozy glow and it doesn’t disappoint, it looks really quite realistic. The humming is a little disappointing but as it is a convection heater it is to be expected. Overall really pleased.

Arrived ok ,nice fire ,simple to use ,I wouldn’t say it was quiet,but when the telly is on you won’t notice the noise

It is a very good looking fire.,I bought it mostly for the coal effects. This is my second Dimplex fire

Fire very good and led flame effect impressive, remote control is awful and didn’t work , received another one and that didn’t work so find it easier to turn on and off at mains

This was bought as a replacement for an older one which had stopped working ( the flame motor) after at least 15 years. I bought a cheap one to start with but it just wasn't the same. This one was on sale for £165 so I had to have it. I can't comment on the heat or thermostat as I don't use it for that. Next day delivery was efficient. The fire itself is quite heavy - not a problem for mee as I don't want to move it about. The optiflame effect is lovely and about as realistic as you can get in a fire at this price level. With just the flame effect on it is silent. The only real difference between this and my older model is that this has LED lights which make it brighter. If I have one complaint it would be the remote control which, quite frankly, is a waste of time!! You need to be right in front of the fire for it to work. I had my previous one plugged into a remote control socket which worked great but you can't do that with this one as the rocker switch on the fire returns to "off" as soon as you release it. Not a game changer for me though I foresee a time when the remote no longer works and I will have to bend down to turn it on manually. Other than that I am really happy with the fire and it does exactly what I wanted it for and at a good price
