Great for my fermented onions
I've use it to ferment onions and other vegetables. I use a 10-litre plastic container/bucket that originally contained protein powder (see photo). Not all plastic containers can be re-used in this fashion, and before you re-use any plastic container for food/drink, it's a good idea to check the "plastic number" in the triangular recycling symbol on the container (see photo). If it's a 1, 2, 4 or 5 the container should be safe for food. Plastic containers labelled 3, 6 or 7 are not safe. My onions always turn out great with my setup, and the whole family loves them. So delicious and healthy! The thing does exactly what it was supposed to do (keep the oxygen away from my onions), and I have no complaints whatsoever. Great product, great price and fast shipping. Recommended!

Better than a lava lamp
I am experimenting with home brew cider etc. My research suggests that an airlock is a good idea for that. This one appears to be working fine, though I had to trim the bung to fit my bottle. A selection of bung sizes would be a great addition.

Seem suitable for the job.
Came in very minimal packaging, Jiffy type bag, but were undamaged. Maybe that is a positive testament to their strength and quality. They are branded as 'Better Brew' in the moulding. Pretty tough plastic, should last. 17cm overall length. Bungs are complaint and grip okay. Traditional design may not be as easy to clean as some other designs. Good value at £5.99 that I paid for two units (2x bung and 2x bubble trap).

Does the job
Work as expected and fit the ancient demijohns that I had stored in the shed.

Not much can go wrong with this type of item - does what i would expect.

Good locks, but expensive
They are what they are and do what they do. Somewhat expensive compared to Wilko (£3 a pair), so you're definitely paying a premium to have them delivered. If you have a local Wilko it's well worth popping to buy the bubblers - they have a lot of cheap homebrew equipment.

Tight fit
Ideal for home brew. Eady to clean and make sure they fit tightly together and in the hole to prevent air ingress.
