Q: how many volts is it?

There is no electrical plug. You just plug it into the tv signal port behind you tv.

Q: Mine arrived today where would you recommend placing it as my screen just goes blue but I live in Manchester.

Hi, having read a previous review, i put a attached a small metal piece to the black base ( i understand it works better if it is attached to a magnetic metal )and then positioned it behind the TV to keep it discrete

Its picks up freeview just fine runs my EE box and only down stairs, a wonderful device
