Good film. In relation to the series, it's just filler. It's never reference in season 4 & 5. But, like me, you want to buy this and add to the collection then go for it!

Seems like an extended episode
Well for being a movie the story is really subpar as it's just not as epic as it sounds. They really try to hype up the story by calling it the "final battle" but really it's anything but. Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie's animation really isn't up to standard for being "Movie", primarily because it was a US Production and all the animation was cheaply done. Also the music through the movie isn't really good and makes it seem like an extended episode, also the english dub is really painful to listen to as theres lots of corny dialogue and references to other children cartoons. Right up 8 year old's street.
Crazy animation, only son likes this though I can tolerate this Daddy hates it! 8 year old thinks this rocks. Complicated power rangers type action.
