Heatwave 2026 desperation!!
Half way through the 2026 heatwave and do you think I could find a fan anywhere? They were either ridiculously expensive (bladeless, you know the brand) or tiny handheld ones which weren’t going to do anything! Then I found these (yes, I’ve bought one for each bedroom now). Price was exactly what I wanted to pay & they do the job. Perfect ‘old school’ fan. It’s not silent, but it’s quiet enough to not disturb too much, it oscillates or you can fix it in position. You can make the stand taller or shorter and you can direct the fan direction up and down. Really have nothing bad to say, got what I was looking for and do exactly what they should do!

Really needed a pedestal fan!
Found this model for sale just before last heat wave, when many fans had shot up in price but this was good value. Took a couple of days to arrive but was pleasantly surprised when it did. It was very well packaged, with no dents in the box and all the parts were present neatly packed. Assembly was easy to do, and the metal legs and support were very sturdy and well made. The 16" fan is powerful and very cooling in the heat, it is also quiet. Never used it on level 3 as too powerful and could be heard at this level but not noisy to me. The fan is good looking and fits in any room, and is easy to adjust the fan height if needed. Only slight downside was the mains lead is a little short, had to buy a short extension lead to put it where I wanted in the room. Overall a good value and well made fan that I received just in time for the heat!

Simple, Reliable Fan That Gets the Job Done
This Oypla 16" oscillating pedestal fan is a solid, no-nonsense option if you’re looking for basic cooling without spending a fortune. It’s straightforward to assemble and feels stable once set up, with the adjustable height being handy for different rooms or positions. The airflow is decent for its size and price, especially on the higher settings, and the oscillation helps spread the air evenly across the room. It’s not whisper-quiet, but the noise level is what you’d expect from a standard pedestal fan and doesn’t become distracting during normal use, even at night. The controls are simple and easy to use, and while the build is mostly plastic, it feels perfectly acceptable for a fan in this category. Overall, it does exactly what it’s meant to do: provide effective cooling during warm days. A good, practical choice if you want something functional and reliable rather than fancy.

Quiet and powerful..
This is a great piece of kit and very much needed. Powerful and quiet and a real bargain. Easy to put together. Great size and height. Easily adjusted with different speed settings. Very stable and surprisingly quiet so not a big deal when sleeping. Love it. Very happy.

Broken and missing parts - build quality very poor.
Very poorly manufactured. On opening the box the base cover was already broken. After finding it difficult to source a replacement fan (same product no longer available - except at double the price!!) it appeared to be a cosmetic part so decided to push ahead with assembly. Like other reviewers 3 of the 4 nuts which are supposed to be welded inside the base legs were not so it took ages to fix these. Thin nosed pliers would help as space is very restricted for fingers and impossible for most spanners. The "badge" on the front of the fan cover is virtually impossible to centre accurately as only 2 of the 3 screw holes line up with gaps in the mesh. Then the nut and bolt which clamp the mesh fan guard together was missing. Again I improvised with a wire tie that was keeping the cable folded. Finally when installing the fan head onto the the stand pole I thought that yet another part was missing until I noticed that the metal pole slides up out of the base - this is not mentioned in the instructions. Apart from bits being broken/missing there were several places where quality is very poor. Threads in plastic with loose "shavings" still attached. Feet stoppers that "force may be needed to secure in place" according to the instructions either wouldn't fit squarely or didn't fit in position at all. Eventually it all went together and actually worked when I turned it on. How long for remains to be seen. I'm fairly mechanically minded and practical but this took over an hour to assemble when it should have been 10 minutes tops. My advice would be to look for a different fan.

Self assembly required.
It was fairly easy to put together but some screws missing that holds the name plate on but didn't need it anyway so not a problem. Couldn't fit the feet on the ends of the base, it does say some force may be required! Unfortunately I'm quite old now with arthritic hands so my force levels are quite low but again you don't really need them as it is quite stable but the base is metal so don't scrape it along the floor as it may scratch but others may he able to fit the feet. None of the above though detracts from it's efficiency and it works well. Easy to adjust and occilates if necessary. It cooled well and the dogs liked it! For the money and free delivery I can't complain.

Fantastic fan! What a bargain.
I bought this on a whim during the heat wave and I'm so glad I did! This fan rotates fantisctacly and keeps our open plan living area/kitchen space lovely and cool. The fan is not too loud, and at the price I've paid, this fan is an absolute bargain. I throughly recomend.
