I recently purchased this New Car Scent Air Freshener, and after hearing a lot about the company and the quality of their products, I was excited to try it. Given the premium price, I expected a high-quality experience, and I wanted to give the chemical guys brand a chance. I seen mixed reviews online, with some people commenting that the scent is more like plastic or medicine, while others mention it smells like a new car and the best they’ve used. I’ve also seen some videos online about how great this product is. Which was why I thought to give it a try. Given my experience, I found the product to be quite different from what I expected and heard about. Unfortunately, I have to say I was quite disappointed. The scent does not resemble the fresh, new car smell I was anticipating, when I first smelt it I was confused, I thought maybe the smell would change or there must be a mistake in what I ordered.., it has a very antiseptic, dentist like smell, which is quite off-putting. I only sprayed a small amount on the floor mat. I even gave it several hours to see if the scent would change, but it still reminded me of the smell I experienced during a root canal treatment, which was not what I had hoped for.. I have had better air fresheners for a fraction of the price I had high expectations based on the reputation of the company, but unfortunately, this product did not meet them.

I had my car cleaned and the mats were left damp. This caused a stale smell to develop. I cleaned my car again and thoroughly dried the mats. The smell had left the mats but remained in the car. I sprayed a small amount onto the passenger side mat and set the air con as instructed. Three weeks later and my car STILL smells like new from that initial application. Only a small amount is needed. My suggestion would be to use a very small amount, if you don't notice much difference, use a little more. You shouldn't need much and it should last a good while.

First things first, this is NOT a 'new car smell'....but it is the closest you're going to get on the current market. To best describe the smell I would say open a new supermarket carrier bag, take a whiff and times it by ten. Yes, it has a very new plastic smell. Personally I like it, it smells 'new', it smells clean and sanitised. If you are looking for something perfumed be it a cologne type fragrance, bubblegum-esque or little tree type air freshener then this is certainly not what you are looking for. Think of it more as a deodoriser rather than a fragrance. The spray bottle and trigger is of good quality, with no leaking on application. Speaking of application, you don't need much at all. I squirted a little under the dashboard on the carpet and a little under each front seat along with a few squirts in the boot area. The smell is a little TCP like upon initial application but subsides after 24hrs to that new plastic smell. I've only had the product for a couple of days so can't comment on the longevity but I would wage a bottle will last you at least a year as you really don't need to use much, in fact I'd say less is more less you overpower your nostrils! To get that truly off-gassing new car smell, it needs a touch of new rubber added to the scent but overall I'd say its pretty close. So you like those putrid cheap cherry/fruity/vanilla air fresheners, stay clear of this. If however you like that artificial, synthetic, sanitised smell I'd say go for it.

I bought this as I love the chemical guys products, everything I have had I have found to be amazing I cleaned my wife’s car on the weekend, and thought I would give this a go over my Autoglym, and when I sprayed I immediately found the smell to be vile. I thought maybe this was something that needed to settle, nope, the vile smell just mellowed. My wife got in the car and asked why I had spilt TCP medical solution. I replied that it was the ‘New Car Scent’ she laughed and said it was certainly not a new car scent, and said it’s 100% medical. I won’t use this again so it was a waste of money and would suggest if your looking for a medical smell for your car, this is your product, if your looking for a new car smell, this is very much not it. What a shame! Back to Autoglym for me

Either I have covid or this is useless as an air freshener. Has a very slight smell of what I can only describe as tcp disinfectant. And that's spraying it on a tissue and holding it less than 1cm from my nose. Can barely smell anything and certainly nothing like any new car I've ever been in. 15 quid for 450ml of green water and 23ml of tcp mixed in, I would have got more of a new car smell by going to a car dealers and wafting some of the air out of a new car into mine, absolutely useless and would not reccomend unless your bored of burning money and need a new way of getting rid of it. Update a couple of weeks later : After percevering with this as others have said the smell does become a bit more noticeable and improve slightly over time. I still would say it's far from a new car scent but isn't as terrible as I 1st said, It's more of an industrial kind of smell which does linger for quite some time. If used in combination with sonething more fragrant like a cherry or lemon hanging air freshener I don't mind it and it is slightly reminiscent of a new car with an air freshener in.

El ambientador es durable, si elimina olores, lo recomiendo

This stuff is awsome. Smells more like a cinema than new car but that’s all good. Better than cigarettes which it got rid of after one use. I will be buying more.

De geur heeft meer wat weg van een computerzaak / winkel voor kantoorartikelen. Maar is zeker NIET de geur van een nieuwe auto.

Also zu allererste muss gesagt werden: KEINE AHNUNG was die Leute hier negativ bewerten. Ehrlich Freunde wenn es sparsam angewendet wird (ca. 1-2 "sanfte" Sprüher) jeweils auf die hinteren Fußmatten dann kommt es an den ECHTEN Neuwagengeruch schon sehr nah dran. Klar, die ersten paar Stunden riecht es schon sehr intensiv, jedoch nicht nach Kabelbrand oder ähnlichem. Aber einen Tag später nimmt die Intensität schon ab jmd es ist ein angenehmer Geruch in Richtung Neuwagen. Man sollte (falls vorhanden) die Klimaanlage auf ganz kalt und Umluft stellen und mal für etwa zehn Minuten laufen lassen, damit sich alles im Auto und der Klima verteilen kann..siehe dazu auch einfach mal das Video von CG. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und finde den Geruch als sehr angenehm, wenn dezent verwendet. Es sei aber gesagt, dass die Flasche wohl für die nächsten zehn Auto-Leben reichen wird. Ach übrigens..das Zeug kann auch 1:7 (ein Teil "Duft" mit sieben teilen Wasser) verdünnt werden, wobei ich das nicht mache bzw brauche. Von mir kläre Kaufempfehlung.
