Talon - Radsnap - 2x Radiator Pipe Cover & 2x Collars - Chrome

Does what it designed to do - perfectly. These radsnaps are just amazing. The 'pipe' bit can be thought of as a small roll of gift wrap that if left alone will roll itself back up. Well this is a plastic (chrome covered in my case) roll that you simply cut to match the length of pipe feeding the radiator with scissors, unroll, hold round the pipe and let go! It then assumes it's original shape and fits snuggly round the pipe. It is rigid enough not to deform or show any creases so to all intents, it looks like a chrome pipe. The collar is like a letter 'c' where the ends meet up and clip together, so this just clips round the base of the pipe. If the radiator pipe has less than 2cm clearance from the wall you will need to trim a little off the collar with a pair of wire cutters or something similar - but this is easy as it's made of soft bendy plastic, easy to cut. The result... you smile as you consider the price, the ease of fitting and above all, the convincing look. Seriously recommended.

A quick way to tidy up copper or painted straight radiator piping. The chrome coloured pipe cover is made of light poly plastic so is super easy to trim with regular sharp scissors. They snap around the radiator pipe, then twizzle the join to the backside so it's not seen. The chrome coloured collars are thicker so not as easy to trim. They don't fully encircle my pipes but not enough of an issue to be a gamechanger. Unfortunately for the bathroom radiator I intended to use these on the collars were too wide, not enough clearance between the pipe and the skirting. I 've used them elsewhere. For a quick easy update these are ideal, they look the part. No one is generally going to get so close to feel they aren't actually chrome, and if they do who cares? I wish there was a similar product for piping that is angled or with curves & bends! At £3.95 for 2 straight pipe covers & 2 round collars at time of review, it's obvious these wouldn't be real chrome, but that's the only thing that really gives the game away, imho.

I think these are really good I would have ordered the ones that went with the radiator if I had realised but the towel rail had already been fitted so I used these they look good on my towel rail

I've edited this review, as before I give this product 1 star, as the chrome (effect) came off the same day leaving a translucent plactic. I since purchased more. As I had a threory that perhaps patina had reacted with the chrome effect finish and brought it away from the plastic cover. Odd, yes, I'm not even sure if there was patina in the first place, but noiticed that the pipe looked a lot cleaner (like fresh copper) after I removed the failed cover. I can't say for sure if patina caused the problem, but the second covers have worked fine and look great. All I'd say is make sure your pipes are clean before installing the covers. The collars are fine, and do fit 15mm pipe, but they are tight, and need fitting to the pipe BEFORE fitting the covers, not on top of the covers.

Very flimsy and cheap but not unexpected for the price. However they do look OK when fitted but I would not use them on a quality radiator or anywhere that a quality finish is required. The flanges did not join-up around my 15mm pipes as they are just too small in circumference so I have had leave them with the split showing which somewhat defeats the object. Only time will tell if they stay looking shiny and bright. Would rather pay a few quid more for a better made product but could not see anything better.

This is such a good idea. Thy are easy to fit and finishes off the appearance of the radiator, covering unsightly pipes and making a neat finish around the floor covering. They're easy to cut with scissors and excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend them

Really impressed with these. Very simple to fit and trim to size. What I couldn't see from other reviews is that they are basically chrome coated plastic sheets that are rolled up. They're easy to trim with a pair of scissors to get the right size. To fit, you slightly unroll the sheet and wrap around the pipe. Adjust it for a good fit. The sheath cover is average quality and again, just plastic. Easy to fit and slot together. There are small gaps around the bottom of the pipe, as it's not a perfect fit. For what they are, they're a great investment to cover old copper pipes!

Great product, slotted design makes it easy to install and the springy pipe cover means it fits snugly. Great value for money and finishes off pipe work nicely
