Super Nice Unit for the Money!
I am super pleased with this unit. I've opened it up and thoroughly reviewed the guts and functions. Seems like a nice power supply for the money. I've used it on my bench powering guitar pedal circuits, and the noise was almost non-existent compared to a 9V battery, even though it's a switching power supply. I made a video review of it on my "Guitologist" YouTube channel. There are calibration pots on the inside of the unit, so as the unit ages and components inevitably drift, you'll be able to recalibrate. I've used it to also charge sealed lead acid batteries, and it works beautifully for that as well. This one will live on my bench for some time to come, I'm sure.

Delightful and useful power supply
The media could not be loaded. Delightful and useful power supply. I love the controlled current feature. Dead simple to use. Because of the current feature, if you short the output, it won't blow anything--it simply limits the current. Goes from zero to 30 volts DC, and from zero to 5 amperes. Three digits of precision. The readings closely match my TekPower multimeter. About the first half of this video is about the power supply.

Hard to set constant current.
Works great for the price, however it's not easy to understand how to set a constant current with it. It does hold a constant voltage easy enough tho.Edit:Also if you do buy one, I suggest that you open it up before ever turning it on and putting some heat shrink on the Mains power connectors, they're bare and right next to the case.

Caution - Ad is inaccurate
The main picture is of a PS305H model. In the other, smaller pictures the 'H' has been removed. The PS305 has only a 3 digit readout. The PS305H has 4 digits allowing for greater accuracy, especially with sensitive low-power components and assemblies.I wish Amazon would review ads for accuracy. This wasted my time.

Good for hobbyist that isn't afraid to DIY
Plenty of pictures here already so I won't waste too much time with that.I believe that this low cost device is likely more suited to DIYer that is happy to open the device and rectify and small problems. The device performs as expected. There is a slight spike when you turn the device on, so it is pretty important to have no load connected when you turn on the device. The device had some high frequency noise that was fairly annoying. I drastically reduced it by hot glueing the transformers and main inductor.I had some questionable soldering here and there but again, it was fairly straightforward to remedy.Lastly I felt the grounding wiring was sub-par and improved it. It was grounded to the chassis, but not very well (painted part of metal with very small contact area).

Not reliable
Really enjoyed this item until it failed for no reason. Only used it about 8 times to power plc while I was testing programs. Now during power up the voltage starts out at 24 then starts counting down to 0. No output at all now.

Good Value
Instructions are not the Best but after setting the Current, (Turn off First - then Jumper (short out) Red and Black Terminals). Turn back on and adjust Coarse Current to say 1 amp. Then turn off, remove jumper wire, then turn back on. Should now be able to adjust voltage to the level desired. Nice little unit, small footprint and so far works great!

Accurate Voltage, Great Power Supply
This power supply is an ideal addition for any model railroader on their bench or on their layout to power even their DCC Command Stations. The accuracy of this device is spot on.
