Faber-CastellWallet Pitt Pen Nibs Art Set, Assorted

I recently started drawing for fun, deep in my thirties. This is my first set of inking pens ever. So, first of all my opinion is not valuable for comparison with similar products from other brands, and should be mostly taken into account by total amateurs like me.I am very satisfied!The four fineline pens cover a good range of thickness (XS, S, F, M). They are light in the hand and pleasant to use on different kind of papers. At the very beginning I was not too impressed by them, since in the end nowadays fineliners are everywhere and everyone has used them to write at least once in their lifetime. But the more I drew the more I realised how important they are for inking, even more than the brushes.The four brushes, well, I simply LOVE THEM. Maybe not much the one called "1.5", which is basically a thick pen/small marker. But the B, SC and SB are amazing! My favourite one is the SB (Soft Brush), which can draw as thick as the B, but also as subtle as an S fineliner! It is so cool and smooth, it makes me feel like the artist that I am not! :) I am actually surprised that the SB pen is only an exclusivity of this 8 PITT set, and not contained by default in the 4 and 6 pens sets. If it was for me, the SB would replace the B in any set (If I understand correctly, it is not very common even for other brands.)

Great to use

Bought these to use in my bullet journal as I wanted varying tips to do different things with .I did a test page in my journal to see the difference in each nib and I'm well impressed so far. Definitely a good purchase and value for money . They are very smooth to write with and not at all scratchy plus they didn't seem to smudge .

Unfortunately the packaging looks used like the label has been stuck and unstuck many times as shown in photo. All pens good apart from the SC chisel tip that has a notch missing out of it so doesn’t draw in one line but two. Disappointing when the quality of the rest is so good.

Perfect range of hand lettering pens including various ‘fine’ tips, chisel, brush, medium. I found it really difficult to find a full set of lettering pens which surprised me. I sent quite a few back before finding this set and I’m delighted it’s from a well-known and trusted brand.Ideal for beginners and experts alike so I will be repeat ordering when necessary.
