What kind of connector is the lead? I need a replacement..

The lead is specific to the lamp, so you may have to buy a new lamp unless the manufacturer can send you a new lead.

can it be continuously connected to a power source to avoid recharging?

You could do that but it's not necessary, it lasts for ages on a full charge; you would just be wasting electricity and possible damaging the batteries depending on the charger you use

Where can I get replacement bulbs for these please?

You probably need to contact Ascher about this, I am surprised that somebody allready need replacement bulbs as they are LED and they normaly last for ages? And I would'nt think they are replacable anyway....Good luck.

Apple lightening connector won't fit the mini USB socket. The mains transformer should be fine with the correct cable though.
