Excellent tool:- Dewalt DWE315KT Osillatting Multi-tool-Quick change. From Safety Site / Amazon
This was bought for the Pastor of our church for his 40th birthday and he’s undergoing restoration of a VW Camper Van. He absolutely loves this tool as it is helping to cut (no pun intended) the time down on cutting the metal and wooden areas out that are rotten. He told me that he particularly likes the way the quick release mechanism holds the blade in a form of a clamp and the beauty of the various blades he has. We bought this item as it was in a well built case to store the saw and equipment and to avoid losing items and ensuring saw stays in good shape. I have a Bosch which was and is still a good piece of equipment but this Dewalt is well designed and comes with the quick release which most didn’t at first. I totally recommend this tool and the price is excellent from the company I purchased it’s from on Amazon. Great deleivery and I commend Safety-site for there competitive price as this tool was on other sites at a higher price. I would like to buy one for myself but the good lady said I can’t. Apparently, I have too many tools !!! A guy can never have enough tools.

The most useful tool in my arsenal
Absolutely love this tool, it has so many uses it should be up there with an electric drill for essentials in your tool kit. Marry it up with some good quality blades and you'll wonder how you ever got along without one.

Great Value Set but needs variable speed wheel.
A multi-tool is a great fitters tool. I bought this more because I needed a detail sander. Detail sanders have largely been replaced with multi-tools for obvious reasons, so this review tends to be more towards sanding than anything else. The kit you get with the mains powered multi-tool makes it really great value. You get a ton of extras. A case is essential for any tool in my mind, particularly a mutli-tool to keep all those extras together. This one has a foam interior, which I never liked because they are dust magnets. I like DeWalt, but they often fall flat with their cases. They are badly designed and this multi-tool is no exception. You can’t place the unit in the case without removing the attached tool and more importantly, the vacuum adapter. The adapter screws in place, so you have to get a screwdriver to add/remove it every time you use the multi-tool as a sander. Not bright thinking DeWalt. You can bodge it by cutting some of the foam off and placing the multi-tool in the case upside down. I mean, I discovered that in less than five minutes, why didn’t DeWalt? The tool is very similar to the right angle drill. It’s light and reasonably powerful. The cable is long, thin, flexible and light, making it easy to use. I particularly like the quick replace head on the DeWalt, it’s really fast and really handy. Compared to the DeWalt detail sander, the multi-tool is about the same weight and feels about the same power. The multi-tool makes a more rattly noise, though, so no points for being quiet. The dust extraction only works for the sanding head. It's OK. The attachment seems in an awkward place on the multi-tool and often gets in the way. Not only that, but it has to be removed for the case, and I have already lost several of the screws that hold it in place. I seem to remember they are M5. Whatever, measure them and buy some extra's, you will need them. The vacuum attachment on the multi-tool fits the hose I bought for a Bosch sander. It’s actually a Karcher adapter that I bought that from Amazon. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/K%C3%A4rcher-Wet-Vacuum-Power-Tools/dp/B004INB0NG/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=karcher+tool+vacuum+hose&qid=1648893835&sr=8-4 The one big problem with this DeWalt is the speed control. Although the trigger has variable speed, there is no preset wheel. This is actually a really serious fault. It's not possible to maintain an even pressure on the switch all the time, so the tool tends to be revving all over the place, which is really inconvenient. Especially on your ears. Don't underestimate how annoying this is. In fairness to DeWalt, many tasks you find that you need full power anyway. I suspect that's because these multi-tools don't move the blade much, so speed is everything. The multi-tool is not quite as good as the detail sander, but where it really shines is its ability to do other jobs. If you only need a detail sander, then buy a detail sander. I slightly regret letting my old sander go. Having said that, I have found a number of jobs that I just would not have been able to do without the multi-tool. Blades are always a problem on multi-tools. For some reason, they go blunt quickly. You should not get less than BIM blades and, if you can find them, tungsten. The DeWalt blades are not exceptional. There are plenty of cheaper blades available. It would get five stars, but the lack of a speed setting wheel drops one star.

Game changer
This is a great tool. I bought one that had a cable as I’m a DIY guy and it doesn’t really get in the way. The cable is quite long so it’s not an issue. Maybe if i was using it more often i would have gone for a battery one. Well worth the money I spent on it, I’ve used it on loads or jobs saving so much time. Easy to use and even when the blades go blunt I’ve used it and it still cuts with the vibrations caused. This is a must to every bodgy DIYer

Excellent, quality product, would definitely recommend!
Excellent product, would highly recommend! Great value deal with all the accessories and hard case - a lot cheaper than Screwfix. Quality product, well balanced, very comfortable to handle for long periods, excellent light to illuminate your work. Variable speed is really good and the trigger is highly controllable. Very easy to change bits in seconds with the quick change facility. Good long power cord too. For sanding, you can attach a Henry hoover nozzle to it too to suck most of the dust out. Used it for sanding skirting and rough/filled plaster and used it for cutting 18mm off the bottom of my skirting boards before sliding new wood floor under for a really neat finish. Word of advice though - when using your piece of flooring for your template - make sure you use the right bit of wood! Had two samples of potential flooring lying around on the living room floor (18mm & 21mm) - accidentally used the 21mm thick one (instead of the 18mm which I subsequently fitted). Dead proud of the neat finish till I twigged I'd used the wrong template. 3mm gap between the top of the floor and bottom of the skirting - doesn't sound a lot.... bloody is when you're sat there staring at it! D'oh!

why didn't i get one sooner
this is without doubt one of the best tools i have ever purchased - it is easy to use and control and rips through most if not all things dependant on the blade used - i have just cut out individual wall tiles to replace them while fitting a new basin and the job was easy - the tool cut through the grout and adhesive easily and the was used to plane down the remaining adhesive and grout - its so easy to use even for the first time that no other tiles were damaged as the others were removed - electronic control gives a slow start but the ace is easily picked up with the easy to use and sensitive trigger - no fuss no vibration just got the job done

Parfait !
